What type of defensive scheme just leaves the #1 receiver by a mile wide open on an island?

I mean he just ran across the entire defense caught the ball and ran away from the defender,  dudes quitting on plays for us. Finesse team that has no real speed out there is losing to a team that does both and has real talent being utilized. I'm on the Lions bandwagon for the Lombardi this year. Not rooting for them in this game.. but holy moses we suck.

Not sure they do. If they do try in practice, they are facing bad offense/defense.

At least he tried it. Sure they were out of bounds or off target but just keep throwing it, maybe 1 will be caught.

This has been the issue forever, the offense looks great all week because they get to practice in underwear without hitting against our defense. Then they have to play against real players who want to hurt them and their lack of talent shows up.

Draft doesn't guarantee anything. I don't miss those days at all, I enjoyed being competitive during the Doug era. The wheels have fallen off in a hurry this year.
