Shad will give any coach/GM the money, facilities, and resources the want. Plus for as good a player Burrow is, he has way more ego and refuses to let their offensive system use more play action or easier concepts that would make them more consistent. Meaning he could easily clash with an incoming HC/OC more than Trevor probably would. And once Tee Higgins leaves, he has only 1 reliable receiving option. They also have fewer building blocks on defense. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Shad Khan hires football people, gives them ALL the resources they need in terms of finances and infrastructure, and leaves them alone. What can be better than that?

I don't know where they stand cap-wise, but they are a near mirror image of us as far as building process, and I'd give a slight edge to Burrow over TLaw as the QB I'd hitch my wagon to if given the choice. Now this is some true teal glasses syndrome stuff lmao.
I'm telling you all now no changes are coming, not even at the end of the season.

Having Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins is a nice start. But competing in the suck [BLEEP] AFC South should be much easier. Bengals just need some defensive help as they lost all their games by 1 score this season. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Well, the silence and inaction from Shad is deafening. No excuse for his lack of cleaning house.

"I'm paying you to do a job, so go do the job" is not a terrible message. "If you suck bad enough I'll fire you even though I still have to pay you" is a far worse message right now IMO. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

I am not one who believes Taylor was evils of all evil, and I rarely praise Baalke, but this time he was right
https://www.profootballrumors.com/2024/1...ess-taylor Backed up by Albert Breer at SI. I legit think Doug never gets a shot at HC in this league again, which is crazy considering he won a SB

So... whatever. Fans and local pundits have speculated about Press Taylor for 3 years now, so a rumor site throws dung at the wall about it. The fact of the matter is that Taylor is a pawn and not that meaningful in the grand scheme of the Jags offense, but Doug is nevertheless loyal to a fault when he shouldn't be with that guy. Like I said, if you have confidence that Brown will pay the guys you think fit your system and doesn't shaft you for the sake of 'profit' (everyone has to spend to the cap, not like MLB and moneyball shenanigans), there's very little difference between the builds - we both have franchise QB, we both need OL built, need Defense built, have 1 key WR, the list goes on. I don't see this ego (source?), but on a team with no line, PA is rarely an option unless you want to get sacked. Neither of us are running the ball with authority, which is kinda a prerequisite to making the fake handoff an effective distraction. I hear TLaw calling plenty of kills at the line, maybe he's just as unwilling to run the plays as they're called. All I know is that if you look at it as Joe v. Trevor, Joe's consistently putting up better yards regardless of the rest of the offensive and defensive woes. Joe's bigger detriment might be injury history, but we're starting to see the toll taken our QB as well. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
