My feeling is that Khan is going to make changes across the board.  Whatever Baalke sold him to result in the "the best team assembled by the Jacksonville Jaguars ever" was utter BS.  It's one thing that Khan is a patient owner, but no one as successful as he is, is going down the exact same path with someone who [BLEEP] to him.  I feel like the terrible record before Trevor was hurt, is actually beneficial for those that want a clean sweep, as that's one less excuse that Baalke could use.  There's no way he watched the Bills game and the Lions game and thought, "We're almost there, let's run it back."

I honestly think hes not firing anyone yet is to give the next GM the highest pick as possible.  If we start firing people now there is a good chance we go on a little streak and start winning some games.

Kingsbury isn't the reason they lost yesterday.  They lost because they had the worst special teams performance kicker in NFL history.

2 missed PAT. Turpin's return was awesome, but the onside doesn't happen if Sir Shanksalot could get one between the sticks.

And yet, these Bleep positions they've been in have been in position to be 9-2 this season. Had those players not made those mistakes and the team be say... 8-3 today you'd have no issue with the coaching. That's the difference, I know where the fault lies and what must be done to correct it. You think moving deck chairs keeps the Titanic afloat. I also know from discussing this stuff with you for years that it's pointless to continue, you haven't the ability to absorb the lessons and will just keep bleating on even as the next coaching staff fails.

It's a bit of each, though, when we're at full strength and can't manage to move a ball for an entire half, that's not a case of sudden onset fumblefinger.

The coaches make some bad calls at inopportune times that put the guys in a position where failure is catastrophic, not just a lost down. I get that you don't plan for failure, but you also have to guard against the worst case scenarios.

I do believe that a change in coaching will bring SOME improvement on its own, but we also need changes in personnel to get reliably good production out of the team.

Tank and Eatin had 8 carries each, BTJ had 2 catches on 4 targets, Gabe Davis caught a pass with his actual asscrack, Cam Little kicked a nfl record 75 yd fg at the end of the first half, the offense didn't cross midfield until the 2nd half 2 minute warning and Ryan Nielsen got fired. Cuz the defense is the problem.

Something to consider for those who want Ben Johnson. Likely need to wait AFTER the superbowl to speak to him. So far- Jets, Saints, and Bears have HC vacancies. Jags likely getting rid of Doug, makes it 4. Other possible firings - Giants, Raiders, Cowboys, Bengals, Titans. I’d expect teams to start hiring HC options as soon as the season ends, due to competition. Which means, if you wait for Ben Johnson- and he doesn’t come- you’re getting last pickens. Bears are definitely going all in and want Johnson, have a talented qb on rookie deal. Worst case scenario is we wait to interview Ben Johnson, while other options are getting hired around the league, and we get stuck with a retread nobody literally wants.

That definitely happens <cough> David Culley </cough> and sometimes twice. <cough> Lovie Smith </cough>

Ben Johnson is not coming here. This place is a career killer. Who wants to come to a place where you will go from the 'hot prospect' to an also ran in a couple of years. As I stated in a previous post, he's got much better options, as you are now pointing out.

I think we are going to have to find someone young and take a risk to get elite talent in here.

My prediction is that he ends up with the Chicago Bears.  Just by having any sort of functional offense would make him a hero.  They have a moldable QB and a top tier WR, if he can build up the Oline (sounds familiar) he should be successful early.

It is interesting that he skipped the Commanders interview last season, when it seemed like a sure thing.  Some people say it was money, but I would think that $ wouldn't come up without showing up for the actual interview.

The one thing that Khan has going is his willingness to wait and not act quickly. Coaches like that stability.

The only real issue is the GM side of the building and not having anyone that knows football to run it. If Baalke is still there, no young coordinator will be interested. If I was one, I'd turn down the interview if he was still there.

I don't know if he is a fit personally with Khan, it's non-football stuff, so I won't talk about it here.

BB may be willing to coach the Jags but unless he has connections with some great young coach ready to be an OC, it will end up being a bunch of retreads. Results will end up the same as Pederson. High floor, low ceiling, until it all comes apart.

Yea, I'd interview Todd Monken after Ravens exit the playoffs. He's got a very good resume and is still young enough (mid 50's) to not be burned out and be able to stay for awhile.

What franchise with a HC opening is not a potential career killer?

All the openings have flaws in FO, GM, owner, cap, roster, and/or QB? Even Cinci which people keep throwing out but won't be available.

it doesn't matter what HC is available,no one is coming here because even at the end of the season khan isn't firing anyone.   we will keep Balke, and everyone else.
