The Walker Little era is here.

Shipley doesn’t think this means he’s staying or going.

Shipley too busy worrying about thanksgiving leftovers. You don’t allow this to hamper the next GM if the plan is to fire him. There never is a plan. Khan just doesn’t want to do the work, Baalke was hired from within this organization when Caldwell was fired. It’s just a joke.

I don't really care what Shipley thinks but this has no barring on if Baalke stays or goes.  Khan knows we have to have a LT for the QB he just gave a quarter billion dollar contract to.  Baalke is still the GM so he still has a job to do untill the end of the season.

Newsflash- it’s [BLEEP] like this that guarantees Baalke is here next year. Game hasn’t even started and it’s a disaster.

How does extending Little hamper the next GM?  It actually sets him up in a better spot knowing he won't have to worry about either tackle spots and can go BPA in the draft.  The only other option would be to sign Bolles if he hits FA but the Broncos will tag him.
This is another plus for the new GM

The guy has started how many games at LT? Why are we just proclaiming this guy, the guy? If he gives up multiple sacks today, still the guy? Well we have no choice now, and neither would the next GM (not happening though). It’s such a jaguars move to just pay a guy after 2 OK games.

Weird to take shots at Shipley but ok.

I want them to sign an all pro guard in the off season. We've needed one for 3 seasons now.

The team can win with Walker Little as a starting LT. Hell, the Steelers start Dan Moore Junior... if the rest of the Oline gets improved (the interior) Walker will be fine. The offensive scheme and the defense are broken.

Walker Little and Anton Harrison should be fine as starting tackles in this league.

Brandon Scherff is no longer that dude.   Next season I want him gone.

Are you a new Jags fan?  He's had much more than just 2 ok games.  He was our best lineman when we had the playoffs run a couple years ago and he has improved in each game this year and has given up no pressures in back to back games.  What did you want to do at LT for next year?

Shipley could be right although I think his rationale is wrong. It's one thing for a GM to maneuver guys on and off the practice squad based on the needs of maintaining a roster until the season is over. But signing big contracts feels like it should be approved by Shad. As on owner you don't allow a GM to do all "GM things" if you are letting them go in a month and a half.

Any of these options is on the table....
1 Baalke knows he is coming back
2 Shad is letting Baalke and Doug try to save their jobs before season ends
3 Shad is letting Baalke go after season but allowing him to sign contracts with Shads approval
4 Shad is firing Baalke but still letting him do whatever he wants cuz Shad is not engaged

To me it, sounds like Baalke is desperate.

Trade down a bit to a QB hungry team (Giants or Raiders) and choose LT Will Campbell, would have been my choice.

I love the deal.

I hate what it portends for next year.

Doesn’t matter, all I wanted was a different GM making long term decisions for this dumpster fire. It’s clear what direction we are going.

It’s either-

1. A soon to be fired GM is making long term decisions.

2. Baalke is staying (which is what I believe)

Either way, it’s a disaster, sorry you have teal glasses on man. Time to take those off brother.

Pass, Campbell looks more like a guard to me.  Campbell had big problems with Will Scourton and he will be facing players like that and much better in the NFL every week.  Id trust Walker Little much better than a rooke Campbell at LT.  Little has actually proved he can play at a high level at LT.  You didnt even know who Walker Little was lol

Im the one that started this post, this is what I was hoping for is Little playing well and getting a extension because that is the best senario for us.  I actually didnt  think Little would sign a extension during the season and that he would test the market.  He would have gotten a bigger contract in FA so we got lucky that he was willing to sign an extension for us right now.  Baalke doesnt do in seaons extensions so Baalke probably wasnt even the one that got this deal together.  Its funny you cry about it but you dont have any better solution at the tackle spots lol

Now we wont have to reach for a tackle in the draft and go BPA

Little is our highest rated olineman now and he was our best lineman in the playoff run 2 years ago.

It’s very clear you’re not going to understand why this is a poor decision for the organization moving forward, and what this signals. Now you’re sitting here saying Baalke didn’t even construct the contract lmao. Some people will die defending stupid.

Its very clear you dont understand the importance of protctiong the franchise QB.  Baalke has stated multiple time he doesnt do in season extensions.   So if it was Baalke that extended Little its because Khan told his [BLEEP] to extend Little now to protect his franchise QB that he just gave a huge contract to.

The franchise tag on a LT is 21 mil. We just singned Little at 26 mil guaranteed at 15 mil per. Hes not even in the top 25 for highest paid tackles. Hes a 25 yr old LT, A good signing
