And my oh my it was a thrashin.

Beat up a Gabbert and a rival to get there too, makes it even sweeter.

Death by SMU-SMU!

I'd much rather some new blood in the mix just to see if they can make things interesting.

Being an Auburn alumni bama being left out doesn't phase me at all.  Actually, it is kind of sweet.

Alot of salt about Hunter winning

I understand Jeanty had a good season as a runner. However, it's hard to argue against Hunter's win. He's a two way athlete at two very premium positions and he had an ungodly amount of snaps played on a week-to-week basis. Something you just don't see very often at any level in this sport. Because it's too demanding and taxing at times on the body. He excelled at both routinely.

Dabo finally getting with the times and in the Portal game. I expect Clemson to get blown up by Texas but next season sets up nicely with the 2 5 star WRs going into their SO year and expecting some key pieces to return like Demonte Capehart who has been injured since game 2. Clemson will upgrade RB/Safety and LB depth next. LSU vs Clemson in Death Valley next year should be a good one

Dabo Swinney is an anagram of "Soybean Wind". Teams should use that to their advantage, convince kids not to go to Clumpson to play for a tofu fart. Big Grin

Xavier Watts with a nice redzone INT there.

Immediately rewarded with a 98 yard run. Damn.

Jennings, SMU QB is the most valuable player for both teams. Two pick six's. Score is now 14-0 State. (So far in the Penn State-SMU playoff game)

Now that's over Clemson can hire a real DC. Trevor needs to be throwing the ball to TJ Moore or Bryant Wesco in 2027

The whole point of the playoff is to see good teams play each other who don’t normally, not just a sec tourney. UT didn’t fare too well against Ohio state, and were as bad as any of the other losers (and I like UT). UT beat Alabama and Alabama lost to Vandy, so no they did not deserve to make it.

My take is the point of the playoff is to have the best teams play each other to decide a National Champion.

It is going to be interesting to see if the AP poll is more accurate than the Committee one.

Was fun seeing Tennessee get humbled by Ohio St. the other night.

I think Georgia and Notre Dame can go either way now. Looking forward to it, but, it should be a defensive slug fest with low scoring. Wouldn't surprise me though if Notre Dame beat Georgia and that would make it your second SEC school being humbled early.

Texas is overrated in my opinion. I don't see them beating Ohio State, Oregon or Georgia if it comes down to them in the main championship game.

I agree this is a tossup based on the personnel available. Georgia just hasn't been the dominating force they have in the past. They have kind of come back to the "pack" this year. Notre Dame is a team I do not know much about so can't say much there.

I look at it this way,
favorites ? Oregon, Ohio State, Georgia, Notre Dame
Long shots, ASU, Boise State, Penn State
That leaves Texas which would have to consistently out perform their season.

It is going to entertaining and really helpful for draft evaluations.

Carson Beck has the most to lose as a QB prospect. Will Howard has the most to gain as a QB prospect. I am a Bulldogs fan and think Beck is not that very good.

I can see him very easily costing them this game against Notre Dame. Riley Leonard is also turnover prone, but, he's tough and he can take off downfield on you if you're not careful.

Jack Kiser and Xavier Watts are worth watching closely on Notre Dame's defense as well.

Yea, Beck went from a possible Heisman candidate at the beginning of the year to just a QB. He sometimes gets a deer in the headlights look when pressured. Whether he plays or not is a huge decision. Either choice can help or hurt him in the draft. Thanks for the tip on Kiser and Watts
