He is the best corner and best WR in the draft and we need both. There isn't a team in this league that Hunter wouldn't be a good fit for. He is a shut down corner that could mirror the opposing teams best WR. He also has the best hands in the draft so he won't be dropping all those picks that most DBs do when the ball hits them in the hands. I see Hunter picking off a number of Levis passes in the near future. On critical downs and certain red zone plays in think they punt Hunter on offense. Play him about 85% defense and about 20% on offense .
Originally I said i think there a 3 elite prospects in this draft but I say there are 4. I think Jeanty is an elite prospect and the best RB prospect since Barkley

If what you described is the case, then he fits the criteria I laid out to take him! My point is that if he's the 3rd best WR and 3rd best CB then that shouldn't escalate him up the board over the number 1 at either position.

Therefore if a team has him rated the 3rd best at either position he likely won't even go top 10. He was the number 1 overall high school recuit coming out at CB and he's been a elite CB in college. This year he has improved a ton at WR and I think he's now the number 1 WR coming out as well. You don't really see 2 way players anymore because its a rare talent and players don't have the stamina but I don't think there has ever been a player to come out that has been as good as Hunter is on both sides of the ball. Prime wasn't close to the WR that Hunter is. It will be interesting to see how he gets used in the Pros. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
The highest rated player at each position. Would love to add Hunter or Graham in the 1st, Slaughter in the 4th, Green in the 2nd or 3rd, Higgins in the 3rd?

Don't watch much college football these days so had never heard of him. Just pulled up some clips. Not great speed but crazy good balance and really shifty feet for a guy as bulky as he is. Has potential to be a real weapon in the short yardage game with his ability to slide along the line looking for a hole. Can't remember the last time jags had a rb who was good at that. Probably MJD. Which isn't a terrible comparison. This guy plays a little like mjd but without the explosive speed

Math is fun I think the 'fit' isn't the question, it's more that we need some angry meatheads more than we need twitchy flash. He's going to be a good player, but if we're still giving up 6 and 7 yard runs every down, the best pass defender ain't gonna mean much. If we win a couple more games and pick around 7 or 8 I think is a good spot where we want to start looking Will Campbell and put him at RG. Campbell in the 1st and Ratledge in the 2nd would be 2 very good building blocks in the interior. If we had that mindset I'd look to upgrade the secondary in FA. There are some very good safties available in FA and few decent corners. Cam Jackson in the 3rd would be a great pick as well to beef up the interior on the dline. It will be intestine to see how many games we win in the last 4. I think we lose to the Jets Sunday though.

I'm all for drafting Oline, but 7 or 8 is awfully high to draft a G if that's where Campbell ends up. That said, if he ends up projecting as the greatest guard there is it's probably worth biting the bullet.

It's pretty safe to say the Jaguars will be picking somewhere in the 3-8 range. Since they are still playing hard and the remaining schedule is not at all challenging, my guess is that they ultimately will be picking in the 6-8 position. If that's what happens, at this time my draft board would look like this since Hunter will definitely be gone:
1. Will Johnson: Definite position of need. Has missed several games this season so physical evaluation will be critical. Elite potential and a cornerback room of Campbell, Johnson and Jones would be great. 2. Mason Graham: Less likely to be available since he's clearly the top pass-rushing DT in the draft. Have him just a notch below Johnson, but he and Maason Smith have "potential" to be next Henderson/Stroud. 3. Tetairoa McMillan: If they don't keep Kirk, he'd be very tempting. Lacks the speed of BTJ, but a trio of BTJ, McMillan and Washington would be very solid. I just don't see an offensive lineman worthy of a top 10. Little and Harrison are the tackles and I'd rather wait until round 2 and get Booker or Ratledge (could even trade back a little for Ratledge, if possible). Would then pursue another OL in rounds 3 or 4, preferably someone with the versatility to play anywhere on the line. Someone I'd really like is Grey Zabel of N.D. State. While his best fit is guard, he has played a lot of tackle and could fill in there if needed. Of course, free agency will play a big part in how the draft board will ultimatelylook. Combine could be the tie breaker but it wouldnt shock me if both kill it, Graham has very high potential as a pass rusher at the next level but dude is a monster against the run as well and probably the best run stopper in the draft. As far as Ratledge it would shock me if he goes in the 1st, I think there is a good chance he wont be there in the 2nd when we pick. If hes there at your 2nd round pick and hes your top guy you better take him there because it would be a huge gamble. I could see his stock raising even more in the playoffs and the combine. There are a good number of cornerbacks who should be on the market lead by D.J. Reed and Charvarious Ward. They could address DT in round 1, CB in free agency and then go after OL in rounds 2 and 3.

There are a few safties as well. Justin Reid would be a great addition to the secondary and would be cheaper than Baker and Holland. Justin Reid and Byron Murphy would be nice additions and wouldn't break the bank. Ward and Reed there as well. We really need to get a 3rd edge, a older vet would be great with Allen and Walker. Yes, it looks like a very good year to find a safety. Antonio Johnson and Cisco have been two of the team's biggest disappointments this season. I agree that pass rusher needs to be addressed sometime in the off-season. There are several options in free agency who would not break the bank. One guy I'll have my eye on is Malcolm Koonce, who was injured early this season following a breakout 2023 year in which he had 8 sacks. Due to his injury, he will be a bargain for whichever team takes a chance on him. The Raiders appear to have restored the career of K'Lavon Chaisson- another in a long line of ex-Jaguars who found success with another team. Therefore, they likely won't try to re-sign Koonce.

I LOVE this draft.
![]() This is with the understanding that we go all in on Budda Baker at safety, and offer Chris Godwin a 1 year deal to see if his injury has healed. I'm all about going for 2 Olinemen within our first 5 picks. We'll still have Morse and Fortner as our centers for next season.
The Other Jag Forum: Duval Football Fans.
Brandon Scherff is no longer that dude. Next season I want him gone.
