Not necessarily advocating that, but just realizing it's possible.

 

They've come out and said they'd like Brewster to win the C job, but without adding any centers we've still got almost half a dozen to compete for the job.

 

Adding a RT would move Paztor in to RG, a guy we know they are pleased with already, and where we already have backups.

 

So, theoretically, RT could be the silver bullet that solves the right side without having to look for a RG.  That would allow them to add interior guys at their discretion in the draft if one is available, without feeling a need to have to.  T is a lot deeper and more talented than C and G this year, which is typically the case.

the only thing with that is pasztor is a big guy (6 foot 7) which is really tackle height and with his size moving him inside could literally cramp his style. He feels more comfortable at tackle per his interview and from what I've seen plays much better at tackle. Plus you have to assume with this being his first season at tackle he has a good chance to develop further

 

The only way I can see us taking a tackle is a tweener like zack martin or joel bitonio who is likely to switch inside but also has the benefit of being able to back up outside if needed. Martin would be ideal in that regard having played both tackle and right guard in college

 

sadly both of them seem to be set to go about the middle of their respective rounds which really takes them out of our range especially considering we have other needs and can't afford to reach
