Imagine a guy like Tomlin coming to Duval with a QB like Trevor!  He'd instill the toughness we need and he'd have a QB that he's never had before.

It's not going to happen, of course.  Jags gonna Jag.  But Tomlin with this franchise would get a Super Bowl victory within 2 seasons.  I have no doubt.

He's a HOF HC, and it would be smart for Khan to atleast inquire.

Since 2020 Tomlin has won 50 games, made the playoffs 4 times, and lost 4 wild card games with that list of names as his starting quarterbacks.

That means Khan won't. Rarely does khan make smart front end decisions. Our record under him proves that

And he hasn't won a playoff game since 2016. He is average. That's Jags level bad at winning in the playoffs once a decade.

Its all relative. I'd love to be competitive every year, as we all know once you make the playoffs anything can happen. Just ask Doug.

Plus if tlaw is the QB we all hope he can become he can be the xfactor in the playoffs to complement Tomlin's coaching. I would love for that dude to come here

No offense, but I wonder if you're Snowie's alt account.

Edit: I'm just kidding. I'm not trying to be a jerk. Just think that sometimes you're way too negative.

The weird thing is the cheer leading for Ben Johnson. I know he is running a good offense but what else do we know about him? Do people forget about the Jaguars own Nathaniel Hackett? /He ran a good offense and how did that work out in Denver?

Don't disrespect intended, but you need to watch more Steelers football.   There was this player...name Big Ben, that was pretty good, and yes..Tomlin does know defense.

He's a poor clock manager...and won't GAMBLE at all. If your expectation is mediocrity and the occassional AFC South title...sure. Tomlin can do that.

But if Steelers fans have higher expectations, we should have higher expectations as well.

There was a time when the Kansas City Chiefs weren't rolling on the high they are now. THAT is the bar Jaguar fans should shoot for while they have an owner with apparently limitless pockets.

Yet he is a perpetual winner and his team is competitive yearly. He doesn't do those things because they work. Yes he hasn't won a ring in years but the team lacks star power or talent. He hadn't had a Qb since big ben yet they keep winning.

Bro?

Who cares?

If Tomlin can get us into the playoffs, why not?

We have a QB that is far better than Ben Rapistburger...  We can get to a Super Bowl with the right coach leading and teaching Trevor Lawrence.

Be wary in what you wish for.

I'm happy Mike Tomlin isn't on the Jaguars list of candidates.   If he goes somewhere else and is successful, shame on me.

And as of this day...while I think Trevor can get to Big Ben's level...he's not on the Rapist QB level...so come back to reality.

Man some of these people are really  delusional.  Putting Lawrence ahead of Big Ben is straight out Laughable, but I am the slow one right?  Lawrence cannot currently sniff Ben's jock strap.

Yeah, we need a guy with a successful playing career like Andy Reid. Or maybe Bill Belichick. Or Sean McVay. That's the ticket!
I, too, could cherry pick former players turned successful coaches if you want to go there. The point is that former players tend to garner more respect when they enter the locker room. The wonky types’ wizardry must quickly produce consistent winning or they’ll lose their luster fast.

At the end of the day, winning games garners respect.  If you go 9-0 it doesn't matter what your looks, experience, or style is players will follow you.

What are you basing your claim on? All your time in NFL locker rooms?

Haha - I actually did spend time interviewing NFL players and coaches. I was a newspaper reporter in my prime. I have a picture of myself interviewing John Harbaugh when he was a little known special teams coach for the Eagles.

I think it’s human nature to respect someone more who’s done the thing he or she is teaching you.
