Trump 2.0 - The Rightening

(This post was last modified: 01-21-2025, 05:24 PM by captivating. Edited 2 times in total.)

Here's a thread for all things Il Donaldo Trumpo 2.0 - the good, the bad and the ugly.

Outside of the border and immigration and the Jan 6 pardons, some things we've seen in Day 1 are:

- Getting rid of DEI across public sector.
- Getting rid of gender questions and reverting back to sex (Male or Female)
- Stepping away from the World Health Organization - does that mean no more $1 billion + contribution?
- Reverting back to Mt McKinley

DOGE looks dead and buried before it got started with Vivek stepping down.

I think he made Gulf of America a real thing? Thought he was joking when he said it but guess not haha.

Also pardoned the j6ers and the Silk Road dude. Why not Biden just pardoned like 8000 people, so go for it.

Still nervous about the tariff thing he hasn’t let up on that. Hopefully it works out.

4 Trump rivals that Biden didn't pardon

Biden did not pardon Jack Smith or other figures who have been involved in legal wranglings against Trump

Former President Joe Biden doled out a flurry of pardons during his final days in office, but he did not issue a pardon for Jack Smith or other figures connected to cases involving President Donald Trump, who has frequently castigated those he feels have unjustly targeted him.

A difference between administrations. Under Biden they spent 53 billion of our tax dollars on a chips act, giving that money to private companies to make chips in the USA.. Trump on the other hand just got investors to commit to spend 500 billion of their money on 10-20 AI data centers to keep us competitive on AI in the world.

ICE is making some hard and fast arrests of some pretty serious criminals. They got an illegal immigrant male in Boston who was arrested for raping a woman but was released because they're a sanctuary city. Unbelievable.

The most unbelievable aspect is that both the Mayor of Boston and the Governor of Massachusetts are women.  Would they still support the sanctuary policy if either of them had been the victim?

I liked Trump's Davos speech. He put the EU on notice he sees these attempts to get 10% of American companies revenue as taxes. Include it in the tariff calculations.

Since the truth about COVID "Vaccine" has been coming out slow but sure, this is only the smart, and right thing to do.

Trump To Reinstate Service Members Kicked Out Over COVID Vax
More than 8,000 service members were discharged over the mandate.

President Donald Trump is reportedly set to reinstate service members discharged from the military under the Biden administration’s COVID vaccine mandate.

Fox News reported Monday morning that Trump plans to sign an executive order allowing those pushed out the door to return to the military at their previous rank with back pay and benefits. Under President Joe Biden, more than 8,000 service members were booted because they chose not to get the COVID jab.

AOC when on a rant about tariffs on Columbia for a rise in coffee prices. First off the price of coffee has risen over 300% under the Biden administration. Second, Columbia only provides about 22% of our coffee. The Columbia president caved because we would just buy our beans from other sources. This is true for most other products and countries we do business with. You would be hard pressed to find a product single sourced to one country. Does she have any other tactic than fear mongering? What a putz.

Under Biden it has come out that 90% of the IRS audits were on people under 400K a year. This is the opposite of what the public was told by the Biden administration.

Border agents record shockingly-low number of illegal crossings, one week into second Trump presidency
The number has more than halved since the final days of the Biden administration

Less than 600 people crossed illegally into the U.S. from Mexico on Sunday – a stunningly low number since President Donald Trump took office.

Sources tell Fox News that not a single one of the nine sectors received more than 200 crossings on Jan. 26, and the number of daily encounters only reached 582 in total. The Del Rio sector – which is the same sector that would sustain over 4,000 crossings per day during the height of the border crisis in December 2023 – only recorded 60 crossings.
