Watch Canadian Hockey Fans Boo The U.S. National Anthem Following Trump Tariff News

Amazing how the news is reporting. I watched fox and they showed positive and negative impacts. Watch all the other ones and they were only highlighting the negative. Specifying large amounts extra the consumers will pay. Our25% on Canada puts us about even with their current tariffs on our products. (not including any new ones)

Musk rips 'fraudulent' Treasury handouts as reports mount DOGE has access to federal payment system
Musk reported that Treasury officers were 'always' instructed to approve payments, 'even to known fraudulent or terrorist groups'

Tech billionaire Elon Musk ripped alleged "fraudulent" Treasury payments on Saturday as reports circulated that the Department of Government Efficiency has gained acces to the federal government's payment system as the second Trump administration continues cutting what they say is government fat and overspending.

"The @DOGE team discovered, among other things, that payment approval officers at Treasury were instructed always to approve payments, even to known fraudulent or terrorist groups. They literally never denied a payment in their entire career. Not even once," Musk, the chair of DOGE, posted early Saturday morning to X.

Tearing off the bandage hurts, but's it's a necessary step in the healing process.

This stupidity has just crashed the markets.

Tariff wars are simply a dumb idea that I would have expected Democrats to push.  Not free market Republicans.

Even the WSJ (Owned by Murdoch / Fox) has called it stupid.

We signed a deal with both Mexico and Canada. We have honored our part. They have refused to do theirs and now with Canada alone there is a 200 billion dollar deficit. You can send them that much money if you want I prefer not to. All those that want to send Canada that money can form a charity and donate their money. You are welcome to contribute ... Wink

So Trump was really, really wrong to "threaten" Panama over the Canal. Really, terribly wrong. The USA has no reason to threaten Panama, it will do nothing but lead to war and...

Panama agrees to end Canal deal with China

"Panama's president vowed Sunday to end a key development deal with China after meeting with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and after complaints from President Donald Trump that the Latin American country had ceded control over its critical shipping canal to Beijing.

José Raúl Mulino, Panama's president, said his nation's sovereignty over the 51-mile waterway, which connects the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, will remain unchanged. But he said he would not renew a 2017 memorandum of understanding to join China’s Belt and Road global development initiative and that Panama would instead look to work more closely with the U.S."

Oh dear... Mikesez, TDoof, and our other leftists hardest hit.

Trump is correct. The current agreement allows for military actions if the treaty is violated. China being allowed to build those two posts on either side of the canal are still a sticking point. Yea, it says they are "commercial" but if you have any experience with ports you know the major difference between the two are the ships that call there.

Trump is holding off tariffs on Mexico for a month after the President of Mexico offered to send 10,000 troops to the northern border to help control drug trafficking.

Denmark now says that the U.S. can expand its military presence in Greenland.

Panama says ‘China? We don’t even know who that is now.’

Letting Mexico patrol the outflow of drug trafficking to the US.  Sounds like a great idea.   I think I saw that in NYC before when they hired the Gambino family to help control crime.

Just listened to the head of the Ontario Province lay out all the spooky things that will happen if Canadian tariffs go into effect. I wanted the interviewer to ask if they were going to fulfill their portion of our current trade agreement. Why make or continue in an agreement with someone if you are the only person to comply? They must not like being held accountable for doing their part.

Corruption is bad, no doubt. However, it would be surprising if conditions weren't attached to our demands concerning the amount of drugs detected crossing the border. If it isn't slowed, then the tariffs go into place. Then Mexico has to endure the double whammy of paying to deploy those troops as well as the financial hit from tariffs. I don't think Sheinbaum is that stupid.

US spy plane has already moved into Mexican airspace after the announcement. Normally this wouldn't happen, so it appears something was agreed to. Either Trump is going to turnover some intelligence or he is preparing to act.

Mexico arrested a high level cartel member today also.

If the cartels are stupid enough to attack US resources again, Trump probably is looking to level their head quarters.

USAID being shutdown is huge news. The dems are all pissed as this shuts down a huge funding source. Hopefully all the money laundering is found and exposed. Lots of people on both sides should be in jail.

The building may be closed but USAID can only be shut down by Congress.

If it is true they were rubber stamping all requests, even those going to known terrorist organizations and fraud then people need to be held accountable. The head of the organization quickly resigned as this came out so there is that possibility. Rubio is now is in charge of that operation now.

I've seen things that say it was created with an EO, don't know which is true as I haven't looked

Wednesday the liberals are planning stuff. With USAID cut off, they may not have funds left to pay the protesters.

USAID was created by John Kennedy in the early 60's for the cold war. It was codified by the congress in the early 80's. So no Trump cannot eliminate it with an EO. He can however do what he just did and place it under the state department. (Rubio)   The politicians that are raising heck about this change should be careful. They should look forward to commercials showing what the money was spent on next to the picture of them supporting it during their next election.
