To kick it off, the Jaguars sign DB Jourdan Lewis. Formerly of the Cowboys. Had a good season. Just a depth player. Dime and Nickel play. He's not an outside guy. Not a guarantee that Jarrian Jones moves outside. I still see them going after one of the top CBs in FA or draft one.

$10 million for 1 year of Dyami Brown who has been invisible in his career to date? Need to see the guarantees, but hard not to react like below at seeing the news.

Here are the current agreed. Subject to change in a few days:
Jaguars agreed to terms with C Robert Hainsey, formerly of the Buccaneers, on a three-year, $21 million contract. Jaguars agreed to terms with OT Chuma Edoga, formerly of the Cowboys. Jaguars agreed to terms with OL Patrick Mekari, formerly of the Ravens, on a three-year, $37.5 million contract. Jaguars agreed to terms with TE Hunter Long, formerly of the Rams, on a two-year, $5 million contract. Jaguars agreed to terms with S Eric Murray, formerly of the Texans, to a three-year, $22.5 million contract. Jaguars agreed to terms with TE Johnny Mundt, formerly of the Vikings, on a two-year, $5.5 million contract. Jaguars agreed to terms with QB Nick Mullens, formerly of the Vikings, on a two-year, $6.5 million contract. Jaguars agreed to terms with CB Jourdan Lewis, formerly of the Cowboys, on a three-year, $30 million contract. Jaguars agreed to terms with WR Dyami Brown, formerly of the Commanders, on a one-year, $10 million contract.
Looks like the TE room is set. Backup QB will be Mullens. Not a fan of either the S Murray or WR Brown if confirmed. Mekari at G is set. Edoga is depth. Hainsey I can't honestly say for certain.

Not trying to pressure you or be rude in anyway but I was wondering if you were aware that a large amount of the members from this board are talking about free agency over at the other forum dubalfootballfans.com there is a pinned post about it in this forum if you're interested in finding out why there's another board. If it'a not your cup of tea I totally respect that I just wanted to let you know in case you weren't aware. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

The only downside to that board is I can't use it in public locations. It denies me access. At home, It's all good. I feel like that board is generic, ugly and clunky but at least it seems to load so it is what it is I guess lol.

“Our passing game will run through him.”
-Coen on Brown
Cut and trade veterans to clear cap space for what?
Was hoping I’d hear one player who’d I recognize. Nope. FA signings to date fill some holes with mediocre “guys.” Just “guys.” All that money and we only have two DL with sacks last year (one DT did have .5 sacks). No pass rush and a team that can’t protect the QB. Great another year draft in too 5 again. (03-11-2025, 01:46 PM)flsprtsgod Wrote:(03-11-2025, 12:42 PM)JaguarJosh3 Wrote: We getting Cooper Kupp? Agreed, sort of. I believe Kupp is a great route runner. Knows how to get open when he has to. He also exposes his body to a lot of abuse doing this. What does he have left in the tank? Can he stay healthy? Our FO know him well, they can evaluate this more than I can. Gotta just trust them as much as I hate doing that with our track record of GM/HC.s

I like the depth additions on o-line and defensive backfield but I thought there were some reasons for interior d-line as well. No serviceable material on the FA market?
I watch a lot of Ryan Clark’s podcast and a couple of CBs have said Amari Cooper is that dude and one of the toughest covers in the league. Every WR has drops.
