No, I have never been involved with a federal government contract. I was briefly involved with a company that had a contract with the Army to improve the ammo manufacturing process but I had no idea how the contract worked. But, I have been involved with numerous private design and construction contracts. When you think the client is unreliable, you charge more. Our clients in the Middle East are unreliable. We charge them more. Universal Creative is unreliable. We price that in. Domestic developers, Latin American developers, Disney, and Universal Support Services are very reliable. They get lower prices.

First now that canceled next year is a 100% savings. The most anyone will get this year is for work done and if they can prove the government acted in bad faith they will get the profit for the contract. The success rate will be very low and it will take years. So have at it. You ever have a government contract or are you just blowing smoke? You sound like someone talking out of their element. Cool, the clause they are using is almost impossible to overcome. Yea you may have a 1 in 1000 shot but you get only the profit you would have made if the contract had run it's course. (and only for 1 year) Most settle due to the legal cost and time required. You also have to show your work and the practical value of it.

If a contract is suddenly canceled for reasons beyond the contractor's control, the next RFQ will either be a decline to bid, or a bid with a higher markup. The Feds may be able to dictate their contract terms, but they usually don't get to dictate their prices.

The other contractors know that the previous contractor lost his shirt. They're also going to bid accordingly. If contractors perceive that contracts are being cancelled for arbitrary reasons, they put a high price on their next bid. If they feel that there was a rhyme or reason to which contracts were cancelled and which weren't, they will likely put a low price on their next bid. When the cancelled contracts are posted on social media with a bunch of politically charged professional wrestling language, contractors are more likely to perceive the whole thing as arbitrary, and raise their prices.

And now it is being invoked much more frequently, for reasons that may not be clear to all of the players involved?

I just pulled some random stuff reported today. The US government credit card is maxxed out. Clinton did a bunch of this when he first came into office. He also fired 350,000 federal employees also. Why because it was the right thing to do. This is not a partisan issue. Also why are you for dead people getting SSI and small business loans? Department of Government Efficiency @DOGE Great work today by @USDOL @SecretaryLCD @Sonderling47 cancelling $577M in “America Last” grants for $237M in savings, including: - $10M for "gender equity in the Mexican workplace" - $12.2M for "worker empowerment in South America" - $6.25M for "improving respect for Worker's

Dead people should not get SSI or small business loans. How many of cases of this were found? How many fraudulent payments went out? What were the sums? Did anyone besides DOGE confirm that indeed this happened? As for these grants that were canceled, promoting left-ish values in Latin America, I don't really care either way. I would rather tax payer money wasn't spent on that kind of thing, but the amount seems small, it looks like a program that was maybe matching funds, so private sources of money probably or being given away in addition to the public money. If we're going to promote free trade with places in Latin America, we also have to promote our values. If we have labor unions they should have unions too. If we're going to slap them with tariffs regardless, then who cares. I would rather promote free trade and promote our values, because I know that brings consumer prices down, but you guys voted for the opposite, so may you find out what it's like to get what you want in this area.

Link #1 - This is a summary article. There are many online. This issue was discovered by the inspector general in 2008 dude. It was resurfaces in in a an IG report in 2013. The one in 2017 said at that time there were 10 million dead people on SSI and there was an estimated 500 billion in fraud. They looked and now it is up to 20 million and much larger now. (6-700 billion area) All these Inspector General reports are available online. If you need proof go read Mr Needy Guy. Why do you think they are looking into it? Link #2 headline - $330M in SBA loans went to the dead and infants— Could blockchain have prevented it? (better article defining this but if you are interested you can find them MR. Needy Guy.) Link #3. headline - UPDATE: We've identified $5.4 billion in potentially fraudulent pandemic loans using SSN data (this is from the inspector general's office) If you want to know about Doge listen to this Fox interview of the people actually doing the work. They address everything you have issues with. https://www.foxnews.com/media/elon-musk-...department

Look dude we have discussed this enough. I now feel your intent is less than honest. You fail to agree with even the inspector generals office. I do not care to know what your motivation would be. The US government is at a 7 trillion dollar run rate. We take in about 5 trillion leaving a 2 trillion dollar deficit. We cannot continue or will go broke. DOGE stated their goal is to save 1 trillion or about 15%. They will easily do this as the government is highly inefficient due to being stuck in 1960's or earlier processes. You can be part of the solution or part of the problem, that is your right. Have a good day ... ![]() ps why would the government have more credit cards than employees? LOL
