I merely suggested an alternative to your conclusion. There is a simple and obvious possibility. He may give each new patient a questionnaire in the introductory session, telling them to answer as much or as little as they wish. The information could be used to help guide his therapy with each patient, or for statistical research only, without any patient identification.

FYI this is why your comments are so seldom considered seriously. You state as absolute fact that which you cannot possibly know to be true.

Because I have seen therapists, and my wife has seen therapists, and they simply do not ask about politics. They do ask about if you have guns in the home, and that is scandalous enough. It would definitely get written up in our clickbait addicted media if they started asking about political affiliation for all their new patients.

I've been seeing therapist off and on since 1995, and everyone I've seen will ask you generalized questions to get a feel of how your emotions work and on what issues they may pertain to so..... That's how they can come up with a plan to help you with whatever issue you may be dealing with. If any therapist you've seen did not go through this process, they were not doing their job or, they were never therapist to begin with or, you're lying about ever seeing one. ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. I haven't noticed any gun ownership by liberals statistics published lately by our clickbait addicted media. How is this possible?

I suppose people sometimes bring up politics as they're fleshing out their answers to those things, but I don't and I doubt most people do.

If he actually has that information, and it's actually reliable, he violated the ethics of his profession. I suppose there's a third possibility, where almost 100% of his clients volunteered that information without being asked. How did that happen? Did he recruit patients at a Democratic party fundraiser? If so, that's not a representative sample anymore, and not really worth discussing. So why discuss it? Why make it a viral post if we think there is something unusual but ethical about his practice? We don't really think that. We shared this information on social media because we think it is reliable and representative. And therefore we are either being lied to, or the source is unethical.
