I am disappointed trading up for him, is he really worth giving up a 2026 first round pick?

I hope I'm wrong.  If he was the pick at 5 I'd be elated. If we gave up our two thirds...  I'd be dubious.  If we gave up 36...  I'd have been concerned.

We gave up 36 and a 1 in 26....  for a cornerback...  WHAT?

All of the above WHILE having a (the) guy on the books for a quarter bill that has ended the last 3 seasons hurt. But hey, people will talk about the pick. That's what matters.

Relieved his fan base doesn't know what a message board is. Theres enough that needs the game explained to them in the GameDay threads already.

We must have thought he was the best player in the draft and it wasn't even close. I hate trading up for him but you can't deny the versatility and skill set he brings to the team that needs a 2nd CB and WR badly.

Gladstone will either be done quick or here for a long time. The man went all in, did not play it safe.

17 games in the NFL not 12 like college, against talent much greater than he ever played against while in college. A lot of pressure on him. Gonna pray for the guy.

Given that he plays 2 positions and if you separated out WR Hunter and CB Hunter as separate draft able players, It is like getting 2 top 5 picks.

Having said that giving up effectively two 1st round picks and 1 2nd picks for that is a higher price than it probably needed to be. Either 2 1sts or a 1st & a 2nd would have made more sense.

Yep. Guns blazing YOLO move here. I personally hate it, but we'll see... We aren't 1 player away... so after we go 5-13, O Line still sucks, and Hunter finishes with 450 yards and a Passer Rating allowed over 100... Its gonna be a yikes from me. I hope I'm wrong though.

I'm marginally okay with #36, but next year's first???  Gladstone sure went all in on day 1.

He’s going to be a CB first and foremost. Anything else he gives us on offense and special teams is a plus.

For everyone saying it’s like drafting 2 players, that’s not how it works. Hester was a CB that played WR and Returner, Hines Ward played everything at Georgia but it was offense only. Kordell Stewart played different positions but only offense.

Deion Sanders was a CB that returned kicks and played some WR. Mike Vrabel was a LB that played goal line TE. Troy Brown was a WR that played a game or 2 in the secondary.

None of them played 100% offense and defense the entire game for an entire season. It can’t happen in modern NFL. The contracts would have to be re-written, the agents would be wanting triple the money upfront, etc etc etc. most importantly the body just wouldn’t hold up.

You got a CB1 with the 2nd overall pick, that is going to give you some production on offense and special teams. Don’t expect 8 ints on defense and 80 catches for 1200 yards and 10 TD on offense each season. More like 4 ints, 30 catches for 385 yards and 2 TD on offense, with 25 returns for 275 yards and 1 TD.

He will surpass Lawrence and be the face of the franchise by week 1 and he will be everything that Jalen Ramsey was supposed to be.

I expect All-Pro as a CB in rookie season.

Where in the heck is Caldrac, NYC, SnowWolf??? Let’s gooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Let's go"?

Two 1sts, and a 2nd to draft a CB.

"Let's  Go" to Google, type in "Trevor Lawrence injury", tap the "videos" header. Watch the videos.

Cut the clown take.
