Bridgewater's struggles continue?!?

Quote:This is baffling to me.i wonder if it's the change in weight he put weight on for the combine and it was a pretty significant increase in quite a short time but being heavier changes things. Throwing is a rhythm motion you don't really think about it your body knows the motion and just goes through it. maybe that is part of his problem no idea just spitballing for all this talk of falling I can't seem him sliding that far that being said if he reached 24 or 25 I wouldn't have a problem with us packaging to go up and get him if we could get clowney in the first and bridgewater in the second I would be on cloud 9 We show less advertisements to registered users. I had a friend who played on our bball team in high school. Kid was the best practice player, but then game time came around and he would completely fall into this zone where he couldn't even score and looked like he was in another world. This could be a similar situation, but the other way around. Some have it on gameday and some dont, but when I watch tape on Bridge I always come away saying he is a franchise QB and a workout in shorts isnt going to change that for me.
Shock the world
Quote:i wonder if it's the change in weight I dont think 20lbs makes a difference in how he throws the ball. Some guys are just better in game than practice.
Quote:Maybe he can't handle individual scrutiny. If you watched the NFL Combine, instead of basking in the spotlight, he was doing his best to hide at the back of the crowd. Not working out there for medical reasons is one thing. Not working out after telling everybody how competitive you are and how you will participate is indicative of a lack of competitiveness. His pals were banging around here so much because Teddy saw this as the easiest place to poach a starting quarterback job. I always appreciate the coach at the Combine that tells the defensive backs if today's scrutiny bugs you, just wait until you get into the league.

Quote:Perhaps to the amateur eye, but not according to Mayock when he actually went back and looked at it. <a class="bbc_url" href='http://content.usatoday.com/communities/thehuddle/post/2011/03/nflns-mike-mayock-on-missouri-qb-blaine-gabbert-hes-the-first-quarterback-off-the-board/1#.U01u3e29Kc0'>http://content.usatoday.com/communities/thehuddle/post/2011/03/nflns-mike-mayock-on-missouri-qb-blaine-gabbert-hes-the-first-quarterback-off-the-board/1#.U01u3e29Kc0</a>

Whenever somebody says "I pride myself." I lose a little respect.
Just say "Im proud of ______" We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Our chances of getting Clowney/Watkins/Evans/Ebron and Bridgewater are increasing if Bridgewater actually falls. In my opinion, Bridgewater will be the best QB in this class, so I just hope we get him. If we can wait and still get him, while adding another great prospect at 3, even better.

Games are more important than the offseason workouts.
Quote:http://bleacherreport.com/articles/20262...b-prospectIndeed, but I am not impressed with his games either. He has 1st round talent, but I am still not sold he has top 5 talent. I am not sure any of these QBs have top 5 talent Quote:http://bleacherreport.com/articles/20262...b-prospect Agreed. So is the level of competition. Bridgewater is a good QB, but pick 3 good? I just don't think so. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

So is the level of competition. i just dont trust clowney. if clowney had a proven motor and drive then i would say that teddy should easily be the second best prospect in the draft. he is going to be a stud. he has what you need physically but his mental make up is just a tier beyond the rest. im gonna be pretty sad if he doesnt wind up a jag. edit: realistic expectation is the jaguars trade down a few spots and still get teddy.

Not up. Clowney is the best player in the draft, but the concern is there that he doesn't have a motor that is constantly on. The best pass rush guy this team has ever had on the roster is Tony Brackens. He had the same knock. If Clowney is making plays and causing problems, I have no problem with him taking a play off as long as it doesn't cost the team. I remember people shredding Brackens for doing the same thing, but when he'd make plays, they loved the guy. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:If you watched the NFL Combine, instead of basking in the spotlight, he was doing his best to hide at the back of the crowd. On the Mariucci show he shrank as well. He was on with David Fales and Tajh Boyd, and didn't stand out among them like he easily should have. Football-wise, he was prancing off his back foot instead of driving off it. His answers lacked confidence and leadership. He comes off as a child expecting to play a man's game, and I believe he's in for a rude awakening. I though this was funny, because I've always thought of him as having a "waterboy" relationship with his mother. Turns out, his mom nicknamed him "Bobby Boucher." http://www.courier-journal.com/article/2...312290069/
