New York Times article on Jameis Winston

Quote:It is sad we live in a world where this type of stuff happens but what is more heinous to me is to play on the stigma and use that as ammunition to attack an individual. It is. And Jameis has had other people attack him as well. We just don't know what happened which makes it tough. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:I dont need to hear anymore to know that this guy has problems and is definitely not the kind of guy I would root for. Yes. You have made it pretty clear where you stand. Quote:That is a pretty big leap. Not really considering the way everything else was handled. Quote:That is a pretty big leap.its not a leap. if you followed the "investigation" closely. there was plenty that didnt add up. 99% of the time, just based on what they knew. the person would have been charged and would have had to go through court. but jameis is....not to be funny, famous. and these police officers, some are fans, some are dirty, coming from a family of police officers, we were all shocked he didnt get charged. that includes my brother, a police officer in tampa, who is the biggest FSU fan alive.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Obviously people will have an opinion which is not based on fact. Quote:Yes. You have made it pretty clear where you stand. If i only say what I say because im a gator fan, how is that any different from you supporting Jameis as a Seminole fan? Like Deisel said, you people never gave the girl a chance. Your mind is made because football. I did follow the investigation. I did not think he would be charged because it would have been extremely difficult to prove. His word vs hers. And yes, it is a leap. You are talking about a giant conspiracy that includes the toxicologist. Is it possible? Sure, but now we are just throwing around baseless claims. Your mind is made because football. I've made my stance very clear. I do not know what happened. I said if he is guilty then I hope he goes to jail. My mind was never made up and it still isn't because I do not know what happened. There are obviously questionable things. And again, that goes for both sides. Your mind is made because football. Why should we give this girl a chance? She was known around campus as a cleat chaser, and she changed her story MULTIPLE times throughout this process. This hasn't made sense from the start. Sorry I'm not going to believe someone who cries wolf over and over again. Quote:I've made my stance very clear. I do not know what happened. You haven't taken a neutral stance so not sure you should be throwing stones. Quote:Why should we give this girl a chance? Quote:and thats where the i believe the evidence was tampered with. And that's where you're fitting the facts to fit your conclusion instead of the other way around. Is it possible? Sure. However, considering the number of FSU athletes that have been arrested and charged with crimes by the TPD, I have a hard time believing they cherry-picked this particular case with a heralded recruit/possible future starter to tank the investigation. Either way, in instances like this where the evidence is inconclusive everyone is going to go with their own bias anyway. Quote:And that's where you're fitting the facts to fit your conclusion instead of the other way around. Good post. Quote:You haven't taken a neutral stance so not sure you should be throwing stones.Oh my, there is quite a difference between talking smack on a message board and what people did in the real world as decision makers from FSU. My comments on here have very little to do with what I would have done if I was an AD. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:Its possible people made this clest chaser thing up in order to discredit her. Winning > the truth Don't you know, anything and everything is possible. It is also possible she is lying or exaggerating. That's the thing, once you start throwing out what is possible, where do you stop? Quote:Its possible people made this clest chaser thing up in order to discredit her. Winning > the truth Don't worry about it BigJohn. He says what he is right in his name. He's just going to keep on replying with nonsense until you give up and let him have a last word. Badger indeed . . . Quote:Don't you know, anything and everything is possible. It is also possible she is lying or exaggerating. That's the thing, once you start throwing out what is possible, where do you stop? Its pretty clear that FSU delayed finding out what other possibilities existed until after the season. |
