Caldwell Is A Genius

Quote:Probably because his play calling is absolutely horrific. I guess your HD tv is having a problem with the braille option.

So the GM picks assistant coaches?  I wonder how that makes the HC feel.  Confusedweat:

Quote:Don't need to replace Monroe, might need to replace the right tackle, and yes you can do that with a 4 or 5. Maybe you even trade the 4&5 for a 3.

Your last sentence is just stupid.
We just traded a starting right tackle for two long-shot rookies.  How is that not sabotaging the team?  The last time we had a solid offensive line was 2007.  We lost three starters during the first five minutes of 2008 and our team hasn't been the same.  Meister is getting older and will soon need to be replaced.  We need a center, a right guard and at least one tackle and maybe two to be competitive again.  Quarterbacks need protection and running backs need lanes.  Ours will have neither.

We were tied for last place last year and we are far worse this year.  Far worse.  Some sports writers are suggesting (perhaps) the worst in NFL history.  I don't like it and Cauldwell is responsible.  If shuffling through players is a good way to find players maybe we should shuffle through a couple of General Managers.  Cauldwell needs to go.

Quote:I've been hearing the same non-sense for years about every OC we've had.  Get a clue dude, it's not the play calling, it's execution. Very simple.
Plus the fact that every OC we have had has been limited by the talent level of the players. Even Peyton Manning would look like a scrub when most of his passes are dropped by the receivers or intercepted when the ball bounces off the hands of the receivers, and now we can't even run the ball...What can you expect to do different when receivers can't seem to catch the ball and we can't run either?

I am in no way making any excuses for Gabbert , he is also part of the problem, but the point of this post is that every OC we have had is limited by the players abilities to execute the plays...
