A rape kit isn't he said she said. And he said she said only applies when the two sides disagree, which doesn't apply here because everyone's testimony pointed to the same thing.

Because only 3% of alleged rapists that are reported & convicted ever see jail time.

If that's true, i wonder why that is.. Maybe because some women get caught trying to exploit men while at first consenting to sex, only to cry rape afterwards.. To say that doesn't happen is foolish. Believe what you like to believe, but Jameis is a free man. Innocent until proven guilty. Show me the concrete evidence that Jameis is a rapist and I'm right there with ya that he needs to be in jail.. Until that happens, he walks free and innocent..

3/4 proved there was no rape. Her testimony changed multiple times.

I am heading out now but I look forward to responding in detail. Just to whet your appetite, that only happens 2% of the time. The other 98% of the time, a reported sexual assault actually happened.

Quote:And probably the biggest issue with that article from NYT. They did not look at both sides and that is not journalism. You have to ask yourself why?

The main reason is because you really haven't heard about the storey much since it happened.  I definitely didn't know much about the girls side or what had happened.

When they said they weren't pursuing charges, I agreed with it and still do now because there wasn't enough evidence.  Reporters are going to report what gets the most hits, and putting this out there has done just that.

Quote:Seems like blind convictions are pretty popular among some of these board members..

It works both ways.  You seem to be pushing the he didn't do it agenda pretty hard.

Just because someone has the opinion that she was raped doesn't make them wrong.  It's an opinion.

I see what you're saying, but do we really think that 3% of rape cases are true and the rest are women just crying rape?  Why would they put themselves through that?

You're allegiance is blinding you to the point that you don't seem rational.

I had a very in depth (excellent) conversation with a well known and trusted board member on this same topic last night in a PM.. I'm sure they understand and believe me when I say that my allegiance is with the proven innocent only. My friends are the only one's that I care about how I'm being perceived. Everyone else, sorry, but it doesn't matter much to me.

My fanhood and allegiance only goes so far.. This is a case of right vs. wrong and a case full of opinions.. Because without evidence for a conviction, that's all everyone is left with.. Opinions..
