Saw an article on nfl.com that the raiders hope to trade pryor by tuesday, if not he'll be released.

I 'd love to pick him up in FA, maybe trade a 7th or that 6th from gabbert

I'd take a flyer on him for cheap.

I was just going to post this. Watch out on this one. 6'4 233. I thought of him as one of  the most overrated QB out of college. Well maybe he has changed.Trade a 6th and no higher.Cleveland may want him as he is a local hero.

If it don't work out.... oh well.

I don't think I'd give up a pick for him but I'd definitely bring him in to compete with Chad Henne.

Actually, I'm pretty confident he'd beat out Chad Henne but that's not saying too much.

I don't think he'd make the team, tbqh. Worth bringing in as a FA for camp competition, but I just don't seem him beating Henne or a rookie for a spot.

If he is released I'd probably just claim him off waivers. If I'm not mistaken, he only has one year left on his contract and his salary can't be too high.

I'd take a flier on him. He is crazy fast and has an OK arm.

He may be one of those great athletes that just cant find a position in the NFL.  Every position seems so specialized that you have to have the minimum requirements of some physical combination of height, weight, etc.. but also be elite at one particular aspect.  Pryor is great with the ball in his hand as a running QB.  But that doesnt help you in the NFL if thats your one elite trait.  He doesnt have the consistency to be a good enough passer.  Isnt shifty enough to be a legitimate WR.  Isnt big enough to be a legitimate TE.

His best hope probably is to put on about 15 pounts and find a role as an H-Back... similar to Chris Cooley.  But even then, he is a good enough receiver?  Would his hands be good enough?  Would he go across the middle and catch those 5-10 yard passes in traffic?

Would he even be willing to play another position, or has he Tebowed up and declared that he is a quarterback and only a quarterback? If he'd be open to trying his hand at special teams and/or receiver, with QB being something he's available as a fourth-string emergency guy for, then yeah, he's definitely worth a look on waivers.

Pryor is from Pittsburgh. Jeannette, PA to be exact. Just because he played for Ohio State doesn't make him a 'local hero' in Cleveland.

As in, "dropping the kids off at the pool" kind of splash.

Oakland is not overstocked with quality QBs.  There is a reason he is being shopped or released.  Buyer/taker beware...

They've been trying to trade him since February and they've had no takers, including the Jaguars.  All they've done is set a deadline of next Tuesday to get a trade done.  After that, they're not saying what they'll do.

I wouldn't give up a draft pick for this guy.  He's terrible.  If they want to bring him in for a look if he's released, that's fine.  He won't make the roster when the dust settles.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Not worth a 7th, but he could beat out our starting QB?  OUCH!  How sad is that?

PS  Not disagreeing with you, just saying the truth hurts.

When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

I don't think his arm is as bad as everyone says. I've seen him make some good passes. It's his consistency he needs work on.
