Quote:MOCK 10 Love it.
Quote:No thanks on Bridgewater at this point. Geno Smith 2.0. You are usually pretty good, but you are slipping on this one. Where are Manziel, Zack Martin, Kony Ealy? Manziel might slip to the bottom of round 1 (I think the Browns wait and take him at #26), but Ealy and Martin are sure-fire round 1 picks. I highly doubt Dennard falls past the Steelers at #15. Look for DE Demarcus Lawrence to be taken in the 1st. Could go as high as #18 to the Jets, depending on if the CB's and Ebron are gone. Marquis Lee is probably going to drop below Cooks and Beckham. Look for Hageman, Moses and Robinson to go in the top of the 2nd, not the first. Quote:No thanks on Bridgewater at this point. Geno Smith 2.0.Yeah, you are right, I didn't really over think this one. I even doubled a prospect. The next one will be better. Manziel in the 2nd was intentional however. This was just a possible scenario mock draft. But, yeah Ealy and Martin need to be in the 1st. Trade back with Tampa or Atlanta for their 2nd
1. Mike Evans, WR 2. Jace Amaro, TE 2. Kyle Van Noy, OLB or Jimmie Ward, FS (can't make my mind up here lol) 3. Gabe Jackson, OG 4. Aaron Murray, QB 4. Travis Swanson, C 5. Kevin Norwood, WR 5. Jay Prosch, FB 5. Anthony Steen, OG 6. Brett Smith, QB 7. Tyler Larsen, C
Quote:Trade back with Tampa or Atlanta for their 2nd Nice Mock. You addressed FS (nice) and Ward would make the back field scary. With the depth we have on the D-line I would take a FS with that second round pick. I like this mock also because you addressed need as well with great picks that realistically could be there. I like Niklas if Amaro isn't there. IMO. This is probably one of my favorites mocks for the Jags. With that trade back i would add another 4th round pick. If we land that extra 4th who would you pick??
LOVE THEM JAGUARS!
Quote:Nice Mock.We take Jimmie Ward in the 2nd and if we had another 4th round pick i think I would go with Adrian Hubbard, OLB Ala. or Daniel McCullers, DT, Tenn.
Quote:We take Jimmie Ward in the 2nd and if we had another 4th round pick i think I would go with Nice! McCullers is big boy. Reminds me of Mount Cody.

Quote:Nice! McCullers is big boy. Reminds me of Mount Cody.Yeah, I think he could learn under Roy Miller for a year and then take the NT spot. Gus is one of the best at coaching the big boys
Quote:Nice Mock.Dion Bailey over Ward IMO. Quote:<div></div> Trolls gonna troll. ![]()
If theres no QB Caldwell wants and the Lions come calling for Sammy Watkins, if we get fair value I think we should trade back.
If Lions give up their 1 + 2 + 3 I dont think we could turn that down. Although I doubt they would give up that much. 10: Ebron 39: Marcus Martin/Sua FIlo 45: Latimer/Adams 3rd: Fales 3rd: LB/LEO
Fales looks so much like Gabbert in his footwork/throwing motion it's almost scary

Quote:If theres no QB Caldwell wants and the Lions come calling for Sammy Watkins, if we get fair value I think we should trade back.Fales in the 3rd lol Quote:3rd Round Weston Richburg CLots of dreaming right here, unfortunately. Very good chance that Bodine and Richburg are both gone before we are on the clock at 39...and I think it would be a little surprising if Norwood makes it to day 3 at this point as well.
Trade 2nd round and other picks to get to 29 to draft weak arm Bridgewater. That's dumb.

I definitely was thinking Bitonio while reading Bodine. Disregard that portion. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
After making a trade with Detroit (we get their 2nd round pick and a 3rd next year), this is what I came up with for the Jags and for the 1st round:
Jags: Rnd 1 (10) - LEO Anthony Barr, UCLA, 6'5", 255 (we get a play-making LEO similar to K-Mack with big upside) Rnd 2 (39) - QB Jimmy Garoppolo, Eastern Illinois, 6'2", 226 (with a year to sit an learn, might be okay, if not, round 1 next year) Rnd 2 (45) - C Weston Richburg, Colorado St, 6'3", 300 (little early for him, but Center is a big target for Caldwell obviously) Rnd 3 (70) - WR Cody Latimer, Indiana, 6'3", 215 (rising up the boards, may go in the 2nd) Rnd 4 (?) - DE Josh Mauro, Stanford, 6'6", 271 (LDE of the future to replace Alualu, can play DT on passing downs) Rnd 4 (?) - OG/T Cyril Richardson, Baylor, 6'5", 329 (still need a starting OG, he's a guy that can also play OT if needed) Rnd 5 (?) - TE Arthur Lynch, Georgia, 6'5", 258 (Phase out Lewis' big contract next season) Rnd 5 (?) - RB Storm Johnson, UCF, 6'0", 209 (one more quality RB needed, don't trust D. Robinson) Rnd 5 (?) - CB/S Antone Exum, Va Tech, 6'0", 213 (special teams ace until ready to start) Rnd 6 (?) - WR Jeff Janis, Saginaw Valley St, 6'3", 219 (with his speed, might remind some of Jordy Nelson) Rnd 6 (?) - ILB Yawin Smallwood, Connecticut, 6'2", 246 (ILB depth) Rnd 7 (?) - QB Brett Smith, Wyoming or QB Jeff Matthews, Cornell (Jags worked out Matthews I believe) 1. HOU - QB B. Bortles 2. OAK - DE J. Clowney (from STL) 3. DET - WR S. Watkins (from JAC) 4. CLE - OLB K. Mack 5. STL - OT J. Matthews (from OAK) 6. ATL - OT G. Robinson 7. TAM - WR M. Evans 8. MIN - QB D. Carr 9. BUF - TE E. Ebron 10. JAC - OLB A. Barr (from DET) 11. TEN - CB J. Gilbert 12. NYG - OT T. Lewan 13. STL - FS H. Clinton-Dix 14. CHI - DT A. Donald 15. PIT - CB D. Dennard 16. DAL - DT T. Jernigan 17. BAL - FS C. Pryor 18. NYJ - WR O. Beckham Jr 19. MIA - OT Z. Martin 20 ARI - QB T. Bridgewater 21. GB - OLB R. Shazier 22. PHI - WR B. Cooks 23. K.C. - OG X. Su'a - Filo 24. CIN - DE/OLB D. Ford 25. S.D. - NT L. Nix 26. CLE - QB J. Manziel 27. N.O. - DE/OLB D. Lawrence 28. CAR - WR M. Lee 29. N.E. - DT R. Hageman 30. MIN - LB C.J. Mosely (from S.F.) 31. DEN - CB K. Fuller 32. SEA - DE K. Ealy
***Trade*** Jags trade #3 for #8, #39 and a 2015 2nd from the Vikings
1.08- Anthony Barr-LEO-UCLA 2.39-Jimmie Ward-Safety-NIU 2.40-David Yankey-Guard-Stanford 3.70-Travis Swanson-Center-Arkansas 4.105-Lache Seastrunk-Runningback-Baylor 4.114-Jordan Zumwalt-ILB-UCLA 5.144-Tajh Boyd-QB-Clemson 5.150-Aaron Colvin-CB-Oklahoma 5.159-Kevin Norwood-WR-Alabama 6.179-Derrick Hopkins-DT-Virginia Tech 7.222-Colt Lyerla-TE-Oregon I know many people are going to not like this class because nobody likes Barr because he only has one move but i think he will be an absolute beast in a year or two. Ward with Cyprien would solidify the back end of the secondary for a long time and have a true free roaming safety when Cyp is up in the box. Yankey is a top 3 guard in this years draft class and with the pairing of Swanson would make our new O-Line young, athletic and talented. Seastrunk would be compliment that Gerhart needs and would provide an interesting duo and possibly trio(Denard) out of the backfield. Maybe my favorite player in this years class is Jordan Zumwalt,he hits like a truck and is a passionate leader full of energy. Boyd to me will be our backup QB next year and the 3rd spot will be between an UDFA and Matt Scott. Boyd possibly can become a starting level QB due to his arm strength and his mobility but he has to improve his accuracy. Aaron Colvin is a guy i picked due to his ability when he is healthy and i doubt he would be here if it wasnt because he recently tore his ACL and with our DB depth he would be a redshirt candidate. Norwood is a guy who is not great or flashy but he just gets the job done and with Shorts having one spot locked up and sanders having the slot locked up the hope is that mike brown could be the 4th guy and i think Norwood would be a solid guy to have with Brown for WR depth. Hopkins played well against Alabama in the opener even though they were not the same Alabama O-line that we have been accustomed to,also played well against UCLA and Miami. Now with Lyerla he is the wildcard pick, everybody knows that he is extremely athletic and has day 2 talent but the character problems are obviously a concern. I personally love this draft and think it is very plausible, i think it covers 4 major needs and provides youth and athleticism to the team. Hope you enjoyed the read!
I'm in the middle of a mock on another website where each fan picks for their respective team. So far, Jags have:
Jadeveon Clowney, Zach Mettenberger, Travis Swanson I plan on probably picking up the BAP with the next pick and maybe Aaron Murray with our 2nd 4th round pick. Or visa versa, depending on who is all there. |
