Jags invite Teddy for 2nd visit

Quote:These are your opinions and thats fine. But I don't agree. I do not believe he stepped up in every big game. But that's me. I actually would be happy to have him as a late 2nd round prospect.

Which games did he not and why. Did you not like his performances against UCF and Florida, the two best defenses he has played throughout his career?

Just a smokescreen. Just looked at his pro day. His passes clearly lack velocity compared to Mettenberger.

Hey, I was wrong on that. When I'm wrong I'll say I'm wrong.

Thanks. Couldn't remember.

And I'm pretty sure the first time Teddy was in Jax was just for a meeting, not a private workout. So there's probably much to do about nothing here. But I like it. #3 pick

That Florida game he played well early and I'm not taking that away from him. But In the second half he threw a lot of inaccurate passes and that FL D was stepping up but the game was decided by then. So on one hand maybe its a nick pick but it definitely factors in to my concerns about how good he really is. Now I would imagine that TB has a lot of games where the outcome is a win and the stats look great but then you watch the game and its like hmm there is something really missing from his game. For instance when the Thursday night prime time game against Rutgers he was expected to blow these guys out of the water. I was expecting to see that and so was everyone else on a national level. The scouts were there to watch TB. He was hurried and pressured into making very questionable throws and some should have been intercepted. Now if the competition was a little better you can almost guarantee that some of those throws would have been picked. But don't get me wrong he can find the wide open guy for some easy TD's and that's something the Jags don't even have.

Fair enough, no worries.

Lol...if they'd had Johnny ego in for a second visit there'd be 20 plus threads by his most annoying boy groupies proclaiming him as good as selected.....
If that RV sales place wants Tebow in Jax bad enough to take out a billboard saying as much.....they should just HIRE him.

I appreciate you giving your own thoughts and reasoning. Allthough i disagree not many people do this on the forum.

That's more than you offer. All you offer are the empty regurgitated talking points. Listening to your drivel, you wouldn't think he'd ever lost a game or played badly.

Instant HOFer and unanimous first selection of the draft. Best first pick ever.

We get it already... yawn.

It may not be the popular opinion on this board but if you look at the projected mocks here you'll see that Bridgewater is not the projected best nor the jags first QB choice. It's all speculation but it does contradict a lot of people here. Johnny Manziel is actually projected to be the Jags first pick just ahead of TB. Ludicrous right.

Just looked at Blaine Gabbert's pro day man his passes looked so good with a lot of velocity he moved so well, lets trade for him, oh wait he is a trud and we traded him for a 6th round pick. Try again

TB looked nervous during his pro day to me. He looked nothing like the QB I watched during his time with Louisville.

I'm not sure what to make of his poor performance during his pro day or what it means for him going forward, but it sure couldn't have helped his draft status.

This is a troubling trend. If he cant handle a little pressure when hes being watched by scouts, how the heck is he going to respond to an NFL defensive game plan? It's sort of a TB trend.

You would. It's all you do, too. Zero objectivity or original opinion. Just blind regurgitation. It's a recurring theme for Team Ted.

I think we pick Teddy if he's their at 3. Either way, he will be the first QB off the board. This big slide everyone keeps talking about is nonsense.

Haha I finally put him on the ignore list so I dont gotta see his nonsense anymore. I did get a good chuckle when I saw you quoted that though.

At one point this was probably true. At this time, I don't believe that is the case anymore.

We shall see.

Rick Gosselin explains what teams are looking for:

But understand that the NFL draft is not about college production. It’s about a player’s measurables. It always has been and always will be. The NFL covets players who best fit the position prototypes, because having the ideal height, weight, strength and speed give them the best chance for success at the next level.

Given Bridgewater dropped to 188 during the course of last season, that's probably his biggest and most glaring weakness to NFL clubs. NFL is a big boys game that carries a significantly longer schedule. And that's before you even consider his accuracy (due to his prancing footwork, not driving off his back leg) and problems gripping the football without a WR glove.
