Draft Day cliches

#1

What are the cliches we should be listening for come draft day?

"He was the highest rated guy on our board."

"I just wanted to go to a team that wanted me."

"This is the point in the draft where might see a team trade up."

"He's a guy you plug in and play on day one."
Only a chump boos the home team!

Best _____ I have ever seen.

I haven't seen a workout like that in ___________ years of watching.

He's the most pro ready QB in the draft.

He's the next Lawrence Taylor.

And the #1 DRAFT DAY CLICHE........................

He would fit right in with a team like the Jaguars who desperately need a ___________. He would be a good player and sell tickets.

I've heard Daniel Jerimiah/Charles David use that line like 500 times this month.

That is a bit of a reach.

They are clearly going for need with this pick.

I don't really understand this pick?

There were clearly better players on their/my board.

This guy is a play maker!

He is probably the best athlete in the draft!

He could have used another year in college.

This is one guy  that they didn't have a need for but clearly could not pass up.

I look forward to going to ______ and winning some championships!

I am going to be humble and work hard and try to be a valuable member of the team.

I had a strong feeling they would pick me when I talked to the coaching staff on my visit.

I had no idea they would draft me, Gene Smith didn't even bring me in for a visit.

That guy doesn't play in the SEC.

I would have picked that guy.  I know what I'm talking about, I read a message board.

I guess those are just Jags Messageboard people.

He's got a high motor.

Low floor, high ceiling.

He brings his lunch bucket.

That's a blue chipper.

He's a developmental guy.

He'll be a positive force in the locker room.

Yes, shutdown corner is thrown around way too much. Every corner is a shut down corner in the draft.

If you draft this guy, you have a starter for the next decade.

Translation:  What the @#$*() were they thinking, this guy has a UDFA smell all over him and I got to fill 44sec more air time.....Jeeeeeeeze.

When they have no time,  they think about it!

When they go down hard, they think about it!

Just watch Peyton, Andrew, Caep even Mr. Bundchen.

They may not go to commercial break until the final minute now. Jags are getting famous.

I don't know, but last year the term "across his face" kept being used when breaking down game film.  That was a new one on me, and I was not really sure why they kept saying it.
