I think it's safe to say that whenever he chooses to declare for the draft, he would easily be the first overall pick.

A lot can happen in three years. All it takes is one bad year or one bad injury for his stock to drop. The three year rule is garbage.

The only way for his draft stock to drop is through an injury. There are times when a player clearly pass the eyeball test, and he looks like an elite prospect as any freshman can look right now.

The best QB we've had since Charlie Ward... Yes, that's including Chris Weinke.

If Jameis was eligible this year, some teams would have him as the # 1 QB this year.

He's the real deal, I'm ecstatic to see my team with a great young QB, who doesn't get rattled, accurate, shows poise, and leadership beyond his years........GO NOLES!!!!!!!!!!
We doing it BIG....Florida State bringing that SWAG back in 2013!!!!

Matt Barkley is living proof that one bad year can change the perception of a player. If FSU turns into trash in any of the next two years it will drop. Either way I don't care we won't be in position to draft him if it doesn't. I generally hate most FSU QBs though. They tend to be very athletic with very little responsibility put on them.

People always hype up USC QBs. Had he gone through the 2012 combine and draft process, no way would he be in the same conversation as RG3 and Luck. Sure, the Browns would probably picked him in the first round, but that would be a reach -- just as they reached with Weeden.

His 2013 season further exposed him as a mediocre prospect.

In no way would Barkley even compare to Winston as far as NFL prospect is concerned.

Remember that this is Winston's freshman year. He will only get better with more experience.

You can continue to hate.....As one NFL scout said, When he does enter the NFL draft... He's the # 1 player taken. You can't teach what he has......."IT".

He's eligible, but that doesn't mean he'll come out then.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

unless he regresses next season, theres a big chance he declares.

How did I bag on him at all? I said we won't be drafting a QB when he declares so it doesn't matter.

Because we won't. As much as you wonderful fans are hopping we have the worst record in the NFL three years in a row.
