Would Khalil Mack in the top 5 feel like a "Gene Smith type of pick"?

I wouldn't be mad if we got him at 3.  I think he's a really good prospect.  If Clowney and Watkins are gone, and assuming no QBs are worth it there, I only see Matthews as someone with a higher grade and we are obviously set at LT.  Even then I don't think he's a way better prospect.

I'm not saying you have to at all, but I would love to see where anyone... anyone at all has Bridgewater as a beter prospect than Mack.

Your logic sucks.  Who cares where Ware was picked? Ware would have definitely been worth the #3 overall pick if they could do it all over again.

That's like saying Garappolo shouldn't be drafted because, after all, Tony Romo went undrafted.

That guy had me pretty pumped for those talks.  He even sold me on Guy Whimper for a 4 hour period!

So you're sort of admitting you can be deceived.

No one's selling me on Guy Whimper, I don't care how good a salesman they are.

Same thing is probably happening here with Mack to an extent. Some of the talking heads are gushing about Mack, so you're buying in. Pushing all your chips to the middle.

No no no.... is this truth?

Ah, Larry Hart. Thanks for bringing that memory back. On any other team in the NFL, he's just a fifth-round pick who didn't work out. In Jacksonville, Gene's jumping up and down to sell him as a big-time pass rusher, and ends up having a fifth-round pick held against him as evidence of his incompetence as a result.

The only think Khalil Mack has in common with Hart is that they both have four letters in their last name.

They're similar weight. Hart's shorter than I remembered. I'll laugh if Mack winds up with a similarly ineffective career though....

How in the hell do you think you get to make this claim as if it's a decided truth? I can pretty much promise you haven't watched significant amounts of games of either of them from college to have an honest opinion, and statistically Mack has a far better pass rush efficiency rating.

If anything, someone with the information you have at your disposal should come to the conclusion that Mack was the better pass rusher in college if preconceived notions aren't involved...which they obviously are.

Its also easy to claim after the fact, after you say something you want back...

I'm starting to think some of you would select Mack over Clowney if both were available at our pick...

You mean the other way around? I would definitely take Clowney over Mack.

Admittedly only one out of the four sites I checked, but there still are some Bridgewater believers out there.

I'm 6' 205.  Guess I should go try out for CB or safety since that's the focus metric and nothing else.

Nicely found but that was 4 days ago... maybe something has changed since Mack jumped 2 spots and Teddy fell one lol. Either way... you did find one... quite possibly the only one.

If it wasn't for the frame/ build concern, Bridgewater would be the #1 overall pick, easily. As a QB, he has few flaws.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."
