I didn't use it as a toilet silly. I used it to clean the toilet because I am single and my attitude to cleaning the house is "Screw it, that'll do."

I know the correct answer is don't get one, have a friend that has one.


But if I just have to have one, should I go salt water or chlorine with a pool install? I read good and bad about both. Do any of you have one or the other and recommend one over the other?

I had a backyard pool once, every time it rained the Ph changed and had to add oodles more cholrine

Yeah that's one of the advantages of the saltwater pools, sure rain will affect it just like chlorine but not as much. Supposedly the saltwater pools are about half as much to maintain than chlorine, but cost much more initially. Chlorine however you can clean it up faster (24-48 hrs) as opposed to saltwater 3-5 days. I plan on either keeping up with it or hiring DF as a pool boy so that shouldn't be an issue?? Every time I read up on it I think saltwater is the way to go.

I hate my pool.  I'm so sick of it I'd like to fill it in with dirt.
