New York Times article on Jameis Winston

Quote:Ya lets put it all on the police. You really think FSU is blameless?

Technically yes, Campus Police should share some of the responsibility, but because this is out of their jurisdiction, and it happened off campus, the most they could have done is initiated the investigation, then handed it over to TPD.

Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.

Obviously they had a responsibility or else there would be no investigation

The only thing they could have done was interview the alleged parties involved because they are FSU Students, then hand the investigation over to TPD.

At this point, its up to TPD to handle/persue the investigation regardless if the victim cooperates or not.

FSU's (Campus Police) role in this is minimum at best.
