Johnny Manziel Zone: Love or hate him, but can't deny him

Quote:On the Dan Patrick show today, Rich Eisen said Johnny Manziel at 3 is a "no-brainer" and that Johnny might be the only rookie in the draft besides Clowney that can "flex" into a starting job his rookie season. Now, Rich isn't exactly an analyst but he does play one on TV or at least works in great proximity to Mayock, et al.

It's food for thought. People that think he's going to slip are dead wrong in my opinion. No way he makes it out of the top ten.

Eisen is also a Sportscaster and an Entertainer by profession so it makes sense that he would value someone/some thing with "showbiz" potential a lot higher than someone who was strictly looking at contribution potential.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Rich Eisen started his media career as a comedian.

He's still struggling to find a way to be funny.

That may be true but Johnny isn't Tebow; he can actually play ball. I'd take him at 3 as the Bap. Period.

Who will be more salty. Johnny fans if we get Teddy, or Teddy fans if we get Johnny?

I like both players and would differ to Dave if we chose either and be happy.

That's a fun question, but no doubt TB supporters will be butt hurt bad! Personally I'll be disappointed if we pass on Johnny but I'm not worried about drafting TB at #3.

I don't think there's much of a chance of Teddy going before Johnny anymore.

Most of the Manziel fans are newbies here, so I would suspect they'd disappear if he's not drafted.

Certain Teddy fans will no doubt whine incessantly if the team goes in another direction, especially a direction that isn't Manziel.

If the team winds up with a guy like Garoppolo or Mettenberger, it's a strong probability that both sides will melt down.

My pick at #3 or moving down and hoping he's still there is Manziel. However, if we go Mack, Clowney, Watkins, or Bridgewater, we can't be upset because we go better either way. I hope we take a QB first simply because I think the QBs in the first (Manziel, Bridgewater, Bortles) are way above the others available later on. However, we have a lot of need and any of these picks would make us a better team. Crossing my fingers for Manziel, but either way....

GO JAGS!!!

You think that's bad? Wait until we wind up with Carr.

I would prefer Carr over Crapollo

If we pick Crapoolu I will not be too thrilled, but obviously will have to live with it

The Texans are going to draft him just so we can watch the glitter come blasting out of the dog whimperer's ears.

I'm OK with the Jags going Johnny..............as long as it's not in the first round!

When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

besides Clowney? Please tell me you're just trollin Haterade. Clowney?! Clowney?! Playoffs?!

I want 3 players. Clowney, Bridgewater, Manziel. Jaguars have the number 3 pick. Just give me one of those 3 at 3, and I'm happy.
