Quote:Thats an insult to Cash, Lewis and the handful of others. Elvis was a sock puppet.

Elvis. Overrated. Period.

Oh and Springsteen's writing earns him a spot there. You know, something Elvis rarely did,....

Springsteen is painful to listen to.

Sheep put NIrvana on their list.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Thank you

It had to be said. I'm so tired of people continuing to perpetuate the myth that Elvis was so great. Bunch of damn sheep are the reason for it...

No, once again, songwriting and lyrics put Nirvana on the list.

Johnny Cash was an absolutely amazing talent.  Listen to the stuff he did toward the end of his life, and the guy never let up.  I watched an biographic on him a couple of months ago.  After June Carter Cash passed away, he gave it about a week of mourning before getting back into the studio.

The stuff he did with Rick Rubin was incredible.  I remember being skeptical about that collaboration when it was publicized, but Rubin got more out of Cash than anyone else before him.

That's a pity vote because the guy decided to eat a shotgun. Again, overrated.

If true, she did the world a favor.  She probably did him in because she couldn't stand his music either.

Quote:Why, why why should Elvis be there?? Why?
Because I was afraid if I put Aerosmith on there you'd give me crap for it.

Nah, jk. Although I'd put Aerosmith on it, I added Elvis because he's so popular. Every old person I know seems to have some obsession with the dude. I personally don't give a crap about the guy. If it were my list, he wouldn't be on it. I did state that I wasn't old enough to chime in on this. But I can't deny Elvis since he has had an apparent impact on so many old people.

I did put Aerosmith there....Amazing that Tyler pretty much can STILL hit those higher notes/ (more like screeches, but still) Laughing

Great band. Hated that sell out last mainstream hit they had though. (Don't wanna miss a thing) complete garbage.  That song had no stones. At least some of their earlier ballad hits had some juice to them.

It seems as a whole that the US is dominated by individual talents vs. bands. Also seems like the UK is dominated by bands vs. individuals (Beatles, Stones, The Who, Floyd, Zeppelin, Queen, Sabath, etc.). Just find that interesting.

Nah man, I'm an Aerosmith fan through and through!

Ok, well, it wasn't my idea. But, I will admit, I didn't put up much of a fight.

A smart groom picks his battles. You take 100% of the wedding stuff! I'll be busy every Sunday from September to January.

Ok, well, if you had to, you had to...

But, I'm as a fellow Aerosmith fan, I gotta admit, I never cared for that one. I wouldn't be surprised if Tyler himself shared that opinion. He didn't even care for "Angel" all that much, (allegedly) Most of their stuff I obviously liked, but that one was just too soft of a song. It never fit them. Ballad's they did in the past like What it Takes, Angel, even Dream On is essentially a ballad....but they all had some substance to them.
