Pretty sure there will be a couple on here that are going to cry, but I did my homework here.

This was very tough to judge, Bortles seems to really step it up in his tougher games (not that Teddy does not, but Bortles has more of them.) 10-20 is a good range for Bortles, 15-20 for Bridgewater

3. OK, heres where I get killed

Derek Carr, improve the footwork and I see a star!! Would love to see him with a little protection and a couple speed guys!

4. Manziel

Its not that I think he will be a bad player at the next level, he may end up being the best qb in the class! However he may also end up being the biggest bust as well. I need to see him without his all-world line, and recievers.

5. Mettenberger

Great arm, good accuracy, but like Carr needs pocket work.

McCarron

Being a lifetime Bama fan, Ive watched him week after week. Feel like he's underrated on the boards but he's got some work to do.

Good in the pocket, spot on with the 10-20 yard throws but a little too quick to dump off to his backs.

7.Murray

size a concern, as well as batted balls. Good not great arm, I believe he could make most of the throws he would need to make at the next level. Tough player, but sometimes in the pros its better to avoid the hit and not be a hero!

Garappolo

Falls here for me due to his delivery, the little almost sidearm motion. In a  shotgun system it worked, but what about in a pro system?

9.Dark horse time!!

Good arm, good vision, but another one who struggles with pressure! However in the 5th/6th round, he could be a diamond in the rough type.

10. Boyd

Came down to him and Thomas for me in the 10 spot.

Reminds me of Ponder a little (not by player type), where he looks like a future star at times, then boom he looks like a first time qb.

Flip Bortles and Teddy, add Brett Smith and Logan Thomas at 6 and 7 (last two legit franchise QB talents to me) and bump Boyd and Matthews and that might be my list too.

Props for letting Boyd at least make the list.  People tend to be favoring guys like Logan Thomas over him, although Boyd was probably 10x the QB he was in the same conference.

His height also, which is not that short.  I see him getting on a team as a backup and playing well in the preseason, but we'll see.  I'd like for the Jaguars to get him one way or another.

Agree, I believe without the numbers right in front of me he's 6 1? Not great, but not terrible.

The Top 3 are really hard to pick between.  They all have their positives and negatives.  I'd be most concerned with Manziel, because I'm not sure how well he translates into the NFL.  But if he does translate, he could be amazing.  

 

Bortles could well be the best QB in this class.  I actually wouldn't mind him over Bridgewater.  Though I'd hope we trade down first if QB is where we go (and I actually hope it is, but I usually do)

I was a huge fan of McCarron as well, until the Oklahoma game.. That game alone was reason enough for me to say no, thanks to AJ. He turned into Gabbert when Oklahoma blitzed him.

Looking at the top few without the media blitz involved, they all have some different advantages, and issues. I could almost pick out of hat for my to 3

These would be my top QBs:

 

1.  Teddy Bridgewater.  great pocket presence, nice accuracy and decision making.

2.  Johnny Manziel.  Dual threat QB with a good arm and leadership skills.  Playmaker.

3.  Blake Bortles.  Will probably be overdrafted.  Good potential, but has just an OK arm for a guy his size.  

4.  Zach Mettenberger.  Has a cannon.  Coming off ACL may slide him down, but he can be your pocket passing gunslinger.

5.  Derek Carr.  Great arm and surprisingly good athleticism.  Could be real good if he can improve pocket presence.

6.  AJ McCarron.  Good enough arm but lacks any elite measurables.  Has shown he can be clutch.

7.  Tajh Boyd.  Like him as a late rounder that will probably play to some extent in the NFL.  Can be nice dual threat QB as well.

8.  Jimmy Garappolo.  Like his feet and quick release but everything else is average to below average.  Could develop nicely but will need time.

 

 

I haven't seen guys like Fales/Savage etc play much so I don't know.

Yes, very close to making my list! I like dual threat guys, but he seems like he would almost rather run than pass at times. Maybe it gets changed with coaching?
