I'd like to see us take Logan Thomas late

The media is really hyping all these QBs again. Just like last year.

Ryan Nassib in the first!!

Matt Scott in the fourth!!!

Rofl! I remember that. And I remember how excited everybody was in town about getting him after the draft too. Gabbert truly scarred this town, lol.

I want 3 players. Clowney, Bridgewater, Manziel. Jaguars have the number 3 pick. Just give me one of those 3 at 3, and I'm happy.

This little Thomas trend must be media fueled.  I don't get it.

Maybe it was his 4 completions at the senior bowl?

Logan Thomas is not accurate and makes questionable decisions...no thanks in any round if you are looking at him as a developmental QB.  I would possibly take him late as a transition player to TE only.

Logan Thomas sucks.

A true media creation.

I haven't even seen the media prop Logan up. I don't think anyone is saying he is good, but I am saying that neither are Savage, Mett, or Garoppolo...and if I'm gonna take a guy that has ~10% chance of hitting I'm taking Logan (or Brett Smith who you can actually get late) because his upside is a lot higher than anyone after the top 4.

But really I'm not taking any of them on day 2. I'm taking QB at 3, praying Teddy or Carr do magically fall to 39, or I'm waiting until day 3.

Kiper was loving him in the second or third round yesterday, and to say his upside is higher shows you don't put as much effort in as you claim.

Best size in the class + strongest arm in the class + best athleticism in the class = highest upside QB in the draft. It doesn't mean he has good odds of reaching his ceiling, but if he does he will be the best QB from this class by a good amount.

His athleticism is not the best in the class.

Why do you use size as a determining factor for 'ceiling'?

He's a bigger Stephen Morris. All arm and no brain.

I would put Franklin, Shaw, and Lynch in the best athleticism argument. Nobody is spending a second or third on them.

Manziel is clearly the most athletic

Not even counting on the field where he runs like a gazelle, he led every QB at the combine in 40 time, 10 yard split, broad jump, and vertical...and was 2nd only to JFF in 3 cone and short shuttle. Adding that he is literally 4-6 inches taller and 20-40 lbs heavier than most of the other QBs (and completely embarrassed Savage and Matthews the other QBs roughly his size) I would say that he is easily the most athletic QB in this class.

Just watched the college all star competition and watched him seriously struggle trying to throw through a 3 foot ring about ten yards away. I actually felt bad for the guy. However, he was injured so all his throws were all arm.

Yet you ignore the 2 names I threw out there as athletic rivals?

If you want a late-round QB project with starting potential in the future, I suggest Tulsa's Cody Green.

Simply put, he's got all the measurables of an "ideal" candidate, on paper at least.

<p style="margin-left:40px;">

While I understand why fans would would shy away from a guy who didn't have the best college career, I also understand why GMs might feel otherwise, and he'll probably be overdrafted.  So much so it may be surprising.
