Quote:My point was that you called people stupid for thining Caldwell would take a tackle at #2. Do you remember being an arrogant [BAD WORD REMOVED] about that?

I do.

Do you fish? This is like that time you caught a trophy fish, but it ended up just being a water-logged boot.

In other words, nice try.

I seriously doubt Bridgewater winds up falling to us in the 2nd round.  If it was to happen, great!  But, I just can't buy the mindset he slides that far.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Wait a second, I thought we missed out on Teddy because we were stupid and didn't tank the season like the genius texans?

That tune has changed as his draft stock has dropped.

I knew I wasn't crazy, Boyd was super hyped last year.

Quote:Yup, the main person I wanted at draft time was Mingo (Dion Jordan second) and I think he is proving already that he would have been a better pick than Joeckel. Like I always said Joeckel would be boring and fine, sure, but Mingo is a rare pass rusher and he is already proving that. Also, pretty silly to close the book on Geno two games into his career.
i must of missed the season where Mingo would of been the better pick

He looked pretty damn good last year.

I was on the same team. Mingo, Geno, or Dion Jordan were my preferred picks.

I wanted Mingo bad. I figured he would have filled the LEO role perfectly.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

I figured that too. Seemed like he was tailor made to play wide 9 and just wreck stuff in the backfield.

I probably overvalued the bowl game but lsu finally let him just pin his ears back. Making him play contain was so dumb.

I told people last year Boyd would not go anywhere near the first round

I wonder what media types would have thought of him if he didn't have such a bad game versus Florida State? If he maintained his development arc?

Even if you look at Boyds season overall it's comparable to last year for him, if he's there in the 4th I'd take him as our 2nd QB (assuming we take one in the 1st)

I was on the Star train....I still stand by that for now.

However, taking an OT was my 2nd choice and what I thought the team would do anyway.

I feel like the game against FSU changed a lot of people's opinion about him, although it shouldn't considering his team was grossly outmatched.

The guy has played outstanding his entire career.

The FSU game wasnt the only game to show his flaws, he played bad vs team with great defenses in previous years like South Carolina

He is also a short chubby QB, he was never going in the 1st round and I told people that, he is a power running QB not a game break speed guy

He is 6'1", so its not like he is much shorter than most QBs in this draft.  He is a good runner, but his deep throws are usually on the mark.  His accuracy is good.

He also had good game against great defenses.

I never expected him to go in the first either, but I would have ranked him near the top of the QBs to come out for the draft.

The teams with great defenses he played were FSU twice, SC twice, VT, and LSU

He was terrible in all those games besides LSU where he was ok nothing great I mean he throw 50 passes and ran 22 times, didnt make mistakes

BC also has solid defense and he was very avg. in that game, Boyd made is states piling up on bad defense ACC teams, and dont say Ohio st, that defense was bad
