It's Mack or Sammy at #3, right?

Quote:You don't think that Johnny Manziel had something to do with that? So Clemson's QB can't complete many passes more than 5 yards? Whatever the reason, it still shows Watkins as a WR thats obviously going to have to adjust to the pro game as what he'll be asked to do in an NFL offense is going to be different than much of his production in the Clemson offense. Quote:So Clemson's QB can't complete many passes more than 5 yards? Or the Clemson OC didn't trust him to do so. "Why should I give information to you when all you want to do is find something wrong with it?" Quote:Or the Clemson OC didn't trust him to do so. Honestly, I don't think Watkins is the pick. I don't think it will be an OT either. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:Yes, because chasing the WR position wins Championships - signed, never.yes because we can't find a QB after the first round...
Lol at back to back top 3 offensive tackles.....but seriously, Mack or Bridgewater. Even a trade down for Bridgewater.

Quote:Well its Mack or Sammy if you want to take pick 3 and flush it, well, sure....If the team wanted to take a pick and flush it, they'd ask for your opinion. Quote:The run game SUCKED last year, especially behind Pasztor. Matthews is quality in both pass and run blocking. We must not have been watching the same team. Pasztor got better as the year went on, and this team has bigger fish to fry than spending a top-three pick on a position that's already covered.
Quote:Well its Mack or Sammy if you want to take pick 3 and flush it, well, sure.... Yeah...totally like flushing the pick away...(yawn) Quote:Yes, because chasing the WR position wins Championships - signed, never.Let's see...Miami traded a 1 for Paul Warfield and won two Super Bowls. The Steelers spent a 1st round pick in 1974 and took Lynn Swann, following that up later in the same draft and took John Stallworth and won four Super Bowls. Washington, who utilized very few first round picks under Bobby Beathard, used one to select Art Monk. They wound up winning 3 Super Bowls with him. The 49ers traded multiple picks to move up to 16th overall and selected a guy named Jerry Rice. They won 3 more Super Bowls after that move. Dallas selected Michael Irvin in the first round in 1988, spent a second rounder on Alexander Wright in 1990, a first rounder in Alvin Harper in 1991, a 2nd rounder in Jimmy Smith in 1992, and a second rounder in Kevin Williams in 1993, and they won 3 Super Bowls in the 1990s. The Colts spent first round picks on Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne and won a Super Bowl. The Steelers spent a first round pick on Santonio Holmes and won a Super Bowl. If you don't want Watkins, that's fine. But don't pretend that Super Bowl champions have never invested early at the WR position. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
Rumour has it that Mack and Clowney could both be off the board at 1 & 2... might be fluffy chatter to intice the Jaguars to trade up knowing the obivious need and desire in those players but what if it did occur?
I assume Sammy Watkins would be drafted by Dave Caldwell at #3. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

I assume he would try to trade down, and failing that, draft either Watkins or Matthews. Nobody was actually supposed to challenge the logic. Oh well. Now you've done it. The diva won't be back in this thread for a while. Never argue with idiots. Quote:I assume he would try to trade down, and failing that, draft either Watkins or Matthews.I with you. If Mack and Clowney are gone. Trade back and take a QB. If they can't trade out Watkins or Matthews. I not big on Watkins or Matthews at 3 but I could live with it. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:I assume he would try to trade down, and failing that, draft either Watkins or Matthews.Yep the more I think about it he's going to trade down, makes too much sense since the team needs so many positions. Quote:I with you. If Mack and Clowney are gone. Trade back and take a QB. If they can't trade out Watkins or Matthews. I not big on Watkins or Matthews at 3 but I could live with it. Agreed, if they can find a trade partner to work with, I have no doubt they'd be trying to get out of the third pick. Heck, even if Mack or Clowney are still on the board, I think they'd actively shop the pick to see what they can get. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote: The fact he averaged nearly 15 YPC despite the abundance of screens says a lot about his ability. I think if he has any deficiencies as a WR, Sullivan can straighten them out and maximize his skills. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

I don't see them taking a Tackle at #3. They will most likely take Sammy or Mack and then use #13 to get Martin, Lewan or another Tackle. Rams are in a great spot. Quote:The fact he averaged nearly 15 YPC despite the abundance of screens says a lot about his ability.I bet Sammy was wide open down field a bunch but Boyd just couldn't get him the ball. On the flip side, Johnny loved taking shots downfield to Evans so that skews them more in favor of Evans. You draft players based on what you think they WILL do, not necessarily on what they have already done. Quote:With the Rams having 2 and 13, it leaves them with a lot of possibilities. I'm not a huge Boyd fan, but SOMEBODY got him the ball. But I agree with your closing statement. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
