TMD's Jags Mock

#21

Quote:translation; "I want Bridgewater!!!" (as his feet kick and he screams with his fingers in ears).

That's how this game is played, right?

For the record, If you want to switch out Manziel instead of Bridge at 3, I'm flexible there. Either one will be franchise QB.

Quote:2 of my first 5 picks would be backups. Desir's a starter.

And West will split carries with Gerhart much like MoJo did initially with Fred. If thats good enough for a 2nd rounder back in 2006, then its good enough for a 4th round pick, here.

LOL.

Ok. I wonder if anybody told Bradley and Fisch yet.

If you did then the mock would be that much better.

I don't dislike that draft, but here's devil's advocate.

You say Mack isn't value at 3 because he's more like 6 or 7 value.  Most people value Bridgewater somewhere in the middle of round 1 on average.  That's even worse value.

If, by your argument, Bridgewater isn't a reach at #3 because he's a franchise quarterback in your opinion, then you shouldn't have an argument if the pick were to be Derek Carr for the same obvious reasons.  You could dislike Carr as a player, but you'd have to admit it's good value since he's deemed a "franchise" quarterback by a front office.

Wait. Now there is a tie at 3? Isn't that mock draft cheating???

Pick one...are you afraid??

Where's all the weighty negative commentary about these players we were promised.  This looks like any other puff piece mock draft we can get from far smarter people out there.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

That was a rhetorical question, right?

Quote:I didn't realize Gene took a franchise QB with his 1st pick in 2010.

He didn't, he made a major reach for a player that proved unable to hold up to the requirements of his position.

What happened to T-Rex Matthews being the future Hall of Fame pick at 3?

I just don't see a franchise QB as being a reach. I also don't see Teddy realistically falling as much as some of the speculation suggests.

I've been high on both pretty much equally the past month leading up to the draft. Not afraid of anything. Just very hard to pick between them. I'd actually guess that between them 2, Gus would want Manziel and Caldwell would want Bridgewater.

We're gonna laugh when Bridgewater is still on the board Friday morning.

Or, neither one will be.  Remains to be seen.  Still, most puff piece mock drafts I've seen only pick one player per selection.  As nice a luxury it is to be able to select two players at the spot, that's not how it works.  In layman's terms, this is considered straddling the fence.

He's one of the 4 players that I won't have an issue with the Jags selecting at 3.

If I'm choosing, A QB gets picked at 3, however.

Well, future hall of famers don't compare to potential franchise QBs who are either too light or too short to play at the next level.  Those are the guys you draft at 3.
