There isn't an "if" in this instance.  There is only 1 pick.

Quote:I just don't see a franchise QB as being a reach. I also don't see Teddy realistically falling as much as some of the speculation suggests.

I've been high on both pretty much equally the past month leading up to the draft. Not afraid of anything. Just very hard to pick between them. I'd actually guess that between them 2, Gus would want Manziel and Caldwell would want Bridgewater.

You see the logic here though?  Any quarterback drafted in the top 10 of a draft is drafted as a franchise quarterback.  This means it's never bad value to draft any quarterback in the top 10.  Which in turn means we could draft Tajh Boyd #3 overall and it's considered good value according to the logic used in this argument.

Now you're just confusing him.

Why is everyone grilling him on Teddy or Johnny?  He's already said several times that he likes them almost equally and gives Bridgewater the nod.

Then he should have just picked Bridgewater to begin with instead of coming up with this weak 1 and 1A nonsense.

He thinks so highly of his player evaluation skills, he shouldn't be waffling on the first pick in the draft.  He's been telling us for months Bridgewater is the best player in the draft, only to begin waffling by explaining away his slide, and accepting the possibility that there are other players who might be a better fit at 3.  He had to pick Bridgewater at 3 because he married the guy months ago with his rhetoric.  Throwing a Manziel vote in there is just more maneuvering to avoid painting himself into a corner with just one player.

Because they like dogbaiting. You should have seen the uproar about cold weather kicking.

Nothing like a little hyperbole coming from the diva.

Nobody hates Teddy.  They're just not so imbedded neck deep in his posterior that they can't see the flags.  Most of us will be fine if Bridgewater is the pick.  That's where we differ from you.  We don't have a compulsion to see all things as black and white as you do.

You really do sound like a 13 year old girl when you start with the rhetoric.

I'm also very high on Manziel. Its a close call.

Bridge is my choice, but if Caldwell instead takes Manziel, I'll be pretty much just as happy with the pick.

I fail to understand how liking two players equally is nonsense.

I have to admit... I didn't think we'd see the "rec" board.

I'm not surprised with your reaches with the first two picks.  There's much better value with both, but you're sold on the QBs and your obsession du jour is booting Marcedes Lewis.  He's your new Shack/JDR/Gene/Mularkey.

I am surprised at the out of the box thinking with the rest of the draft.  I credit you for taking your chances with those picks when there were safer ones to make, especially when you know you might catch it for going outside the norm.

The only picks I agree with for the value are Murray, West, and Thomas.

The diva is the queen of black and white.  You pick one or the other.  It's what he does challenges others for on a regular basis, and if they did what he did here, he'd be the first one on point howling that it's flip flopping, or being wishy washy, or straddling the fence.  Take your pick.  He's simply being held accountable in the same manner he would with others.

I hear ya....except the QB has to be reasonably seen as a 1st round guy which all of Teddy/ Manziel and even Bortles are.

I would prefer we trade back if we're taking either guy because I don't think we should be reaching at 3, especially for Bridgewater.  If it came down to a pick between the two, I'd take the better QB, Manziel.

If they trade down, I'd be 100% on board. I just made this draft as the (non trade version). Who I'd select if we had to stay at all of our selections.

No complaints then if Carr is the pick?  I know I would...

But, the thing he hammered those "puff piece" mock drafts over was how they didn't focus any time on the negatives.  Did the diva?

I agree that neither of the first two reaches were much of a surprise.  He's kind of painted himself into that corner with his endless talk about Bridgewater and hate for Lewis.  The rest of the draft is meh.  Nothing spectacular.  The only other pick I really agree with is Murray because I don't think the guy he's picking at 3 will ascend to the role he has been hoping for.
