Sammy Watkins

Quote:You 2 are probably going to be dumbfounded as to "why isn't Watkins a star" in the NFL next year & beyond...

Watkins will be no better than a player like Torrey Smith.

He's not Megatron, he's not AJ Green, he's not going to take over games like Fitzgerald has in the past.....he's simply not going to be on that level.
I'll bet you that Sammy Watkins will be a better WR than Troy Niklas will be a TE.

Quote:I love 7 yard gains, but your are not going to get many 7 yard gains in the NFL throwing bubble screens 63% of the time.

You would probably wind up with more 30 yard TDs going the other way.

now you are just reaching.

Demaryius Thomas and Calvin Johnson both came from a read option program but scouts saw their potential.  I'm not saying Watkins will be Megatron but you get my point.

Quote:That's all I need to see to know you've never watched him play.

Sorry, but Elite football speed is what players like Fred Taylor, Steve Smith, Deion Sanders and such, had...their timed speeds were fast enough, but when you saw them play, their football speed seemed to have an extra gear.

Sammy Watkins football speed actually does reflect his 4.43 speed. Thats a tier down from players like the above.

Quote:I wasn't joking. Stop. You are embarrasing yourself.

Don't expect that.  He can't detect it, just the same as JaguarWoman can't detect sarcasm.

Tech did not run the option while Johnson was there. However, he had Reggie Ball as his QB, which may be even worse.

Megatron and Fitz are arguably the two most physically gifted receivers to ever play the game.  Just because he isn't that, doesn't mean he can't produce for us at an elite level.

The comparison to Torrey Smith is horrible.  They are totally different in terms of style.

Quote:The players you've said jump off the screen to you in the last few years are either career backups...or out if the league

LIke who? I never ever said LeFeavor jumped off the screen. So, who are you talking about?

Dude, you don't have a clue. When Watkins gets loose, NO ONE is catching him. I've seen it done time and time again over his three years at Clemson.

LOL, yeah, I I could see their potential too....THEY both screamed NFL stud, Watkins and his average sized frame don't.

Watkins will be just another good NFL receiver. Think Torrey Smith.

Wow. You make a great point there.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

We'll see how many times Watkins "gets loose" as a pro.

The diva is dug in, so he's going to throw anything he can think of at the wall hoping it will stick.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Quote:Good for Blackmon.  He doesn't play.

Your argument here would make sense if the times they did ask him to go deep, he struggled.  He didn't.  He excelled.
I said deeper routes which means past Watkins 5 yard majority of receiving work.

What is funny about the GIF's is Watkins has to slow down in both because Boyd underthrew him.

Torrey Smith??  He's nothing like Torrey Smith except they both have dreads.
