They say Brian Sexton is out...

Ahh the CBS crew... "Chad Benny throws it downfield to Marques Lewis!"

I don't ever listen to them anyway aside from the pregame shows.

They just do not EVER get the bigger picture on ANYTHING that they do.
1010 AM has a decent signal around Jacksonville and the FM side is clear in Duval County...  On game day, they will add a very strong FM ( though not as strong as WOKV) to carry the broadcasts...

I agree that this was done to 1010 the broadcast more...  Sexton came to town as a sports guy at WOKV...

Lets see how it goes...

Ugh. I guess not every decision they make will make sense.

As much as I'd love that, I don't see him leaving the Bucs.  It's a shame because he's a Jax local.

I've lived all over the country. I have listened to a lot of talk radio.

Frangie is BY FAR the worst radio personality I have ever had the displeasure of hearing. Not even close.

I can see it now, he'll be rewording and repeating and retelling the details of a three yard run, meanwhile 3 others plays have taken place while Frangie listens to himself talk.

I was not a huge Sexton fan, but this is the worst possible scenario. Really, really bad.

Yeah I'm listening on my iPad tunein app. I live in Kansas and lived in Albuquerque New Mexico for 11 months November 2012- October 2013. I love being able to here about my favorite sports teams. Jags and Gators.

Definitely a pipe dream, but I would listen to the game on the radio every weekend if he was the guy.  I didn't know he was born in Jacksonville.  That is pretty cool.

If I instead take the 295 loop over the Buckman... it starts to cut out around Wilson.

Pathetic that a NFL organization has hitched its wagon to such dreck.  But oh so, OH so fitting that this one did it.

I will say this.  The push 1010XL made to get the Jaguars appears to be a good move for them, and for the fans.  We're getting 10 additional hours of Jaguars broadcasting a week already, and that should increase as time goes by.

The signal sucks, but if you turn the radio just right, and stand on one foot, you can usually pick it up with a little bit of feedback.  Otherwise, use the app or tunein.

Frangie deserves a lot of credit for building the station, focusing on as much local broadcasting as possible.  As other stations are going to more syndicated shows, 1010XL has made a real effort to do as much local broadcasting as they possibly can do, regardless of the topic.

I read somewhere he has been doing Bucs' games since 1989.  They probably will keep him at any cost.

Yup.  He's a Jacksonville native.  I think he went to Lee High School.  He loves to talk about it any time he's on the radio doing interviews here.

We'd have a better shot at getting Mr. Oh My! Mick Hubert, although I don't think he'd have much interest in the job.  He's got a pretty full slate covering all Gator athletics.
