I can't think of many more smaller frame's of QB than Joe Montana.....Jim Kelly wasn't exactly Hercules, either....Phil Simms, another....

 

Straw man argument.  These guys played in a very different era of the NFL. 

 

Kelly was 6'3", and around 225 lbs, so he wasn't a waif like your mancrush. 

 

Phil Simms was about the same build as Kelly.  Maybe a few lbs lighter, but by much.

 

Montana was more slightly built, but again, completely different era.  Linemen were easily 30-50 lbs lighter than the average weight of the guys they're trotting out there today.  They weren't as strong, or nearly as fast.

Kelly was 6-3, 217.

 

Simms was 6-3 216.

 

Theismann was the small guy to me.

 

6-0, 192

 

Simms was 215??? Very deceiving. Looked tiny out there. 

 

Also deceiving was Theismann. I always assumed he was bigger than that.

If they warranted a top 5 pick at the time of the draft they'd have gone top 5. Thats the point, teams rarely take WR top 5 anymore unless they are the type like Megatron/ AJ Green/ Fitz/ A JOhnson....where they seem like mortal locks to be studs. Sammy Watkins is not that, IMNSHO. 

 

And so-so? No. Watkins will be a good WR in this league. Just not nearly worthy of a top 5 pick in a deep WR draft. I'd select Evans before I'd select Watkins. And I'm not taking Evans before 6.

Jim Zorn was another smaller QB at 6-2, 200, as was Dave Krieg (6-1, 193).

I applaud free thinking but not disagreeing with everyone all the time. It seems like you make it a point so have some obscure off the wall opinion about everything just being the sake of being different. if you didn't do it so often people probably wouldn't have such a problem with you. If you are gonna be the free thinker as you call it you have to take the flak that's gonna come with it and not complain about.
