From what I've been told, Manziel's family is not rooting for Houston to be his NFL home, believing that staying in Texas will make his already challenging transition to professional football that much more challenging.

That's a little over the top.  The city isn't going to change if Manziel is here.  The franchise will get more attention, both good and bad.  The city will still be the same city either way.

Think of it in Mike Vick in ATL, he was the cities big star and their guy, electric player, exciting player and he also won games, 2 NFC title games

Johnny could do that for Jacksonville as long as he turns out to be a good player, Jacksonville has never had a star like that
