Jaguars "Absolutely Intrigued" by Johnny Manziel per Adam Schefter (will consider him at 3)

#21

Drafting Manziel will almost complete the copycat process of copying the Seahawks.  Jags acquired former Seahawk D players, albeit aging over the hill players, now they get their Russell Wilson. A better version of Russell WIlson with a flair, competitive fire equal to Michael Jordan.   Superbowl bound.

Quote:I gotta give Caldwell credit, He's done a good job at NOT tipping our hand and making every top prospect seem like a legit possibility for us.

I was fearful of him NOT doing that initially.

Props to you for admitting that.

Quote:I just read this. If this happens My heart might stop. NFL Network just reported Manziel would love to play in Jacksonville due to the warm weather and his old teammate Luke Joekel.

Heh I saw that.

Thank You, and I'm just giving credit where due.

Granted, we all know thats only the first half of the job, now Caldwell must execute the other half correctly with any trades/ the correct picks, but as for the first part - he gets the slow golf clap

You know, if TMD would take it down a few notches he would be an awesome contributor to this board.  If he dropped his look at me attitude and his against the grain/conspiracy theories he'd be quite a great contributor.  There's no denying he has a lot of football knowledge.

don't forget his former center is here too. I'm really worried someone will trade up and nab him before we can.

He did get a little bit of a smile on his face when he was talking about watching Luke get drafted last year.

exactly but lets not turn this into another wasted thread. Lets talk about Manzy going to our Jags at 3.

If the Jags take Manziel at 3, and if he turns into a franchise QB, it literally changes the fortunes of this franchise on and off the field for 12-15 years.
