I'm just havin a little fun with the bowing to sensei stuff...but

 

You must not have paid attention to the arguments I have been having about this QB for what seems like years. 

 

So many said he'd never get traded because no one thought he was any good. I always stuck by Mallett claiming he indeed would get traded and cited guys like Schaub, Brunell, Hasselbeck, etc etc as QB with not much of a track record as far as NFL snaps go, but still netted a trade and became franchise QB.

I was off the board for those, but this doesn't shock me one bit.  He was a 3rd round pick, which was considered a fall due to character, and sat behind brady and was coached by Obrien.  It makes a ton of sense but i hope he fails miserably.  I also think NE will for sure draft a QB.  Bridgewater to NE would be a perfect fit.  In fact, i'm calling it!

Until Cassel got his chance in New England, everyone thought he was a nothing. Cassel wasn't even a starter in college. Mallett was one of the best college QB the year (preceding) he was drafted. 

 

I guess Mallett isn't getting traded now or what? Have heard nothing since, but at this point especially with Bridgewater gone, I don't see how Mallett is any worse than the alternatives (Carr/ Mettenberger/ Savage)
