What would be pure gold here is if the deal doesn't happen.

Quote:really comparing those 2 with this??

Mallett is being traded for to be their franchise guy. Their starting QB.

Leftwich and Gabbert were traded on the cheap to be a backup.

Franchise guy?

Doesn't sound like it from this article:

Quote:Mallett would not be guaranteed an improved position on the depth chart in Houston. The Texans signed <a class="" href='http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/players/playerpage/547043/ryan-fitzpatrick'>Ryan Fitzpatrick</a> and <a class="" href='http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/players/playerpage/1137118/case-keenum'>Case Keenum</a> is still on the roster.

The deal isn't done, and may not get done.  That would be epic.  But, if it does get done, losing out to Fitzpatric or Keenum would be like the greatest thing ever.

Keenum??? lol.....Fitzpatrick? Maybe....initially - if you recall, when we traded for Brunell, Beuerlein still initially started. Then Brunell took over as full time starter during the year. It would be similar to that.

I don't see why they'd trade for Mallet when they can get the same guy in the Draft...drug problems and all

So what if he predicted a trade, so was the media, not a big deal. What I don't get is why are you all convinced he sucks so bad?

He throws enough at the wall to cover every contingency. The deal isn't even done and there's chest thumping? And for this? It's been talked about for weeks....

Watch how fast he forgets it all if the trade goes through and Mullet stinks up the joint in Houston.

What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

From what I am gathering, Pats don't have anything going with the Texans on Mallett right now. We shall see

There have been no new reports indicating the trade has, or is going to happen.

That was just a smokescreen.

They were actually doing a downy for Clowney

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
