Blake Bortles could probably be our guy.

Who cares? I don't know why people give that clown the time of day.

Honestly it should help people on the fence feel better about the pick

lol, really

Bayless is a hack but that's what they pay him to do. Every story needs a villian.

I think back to the season and I remember having a blast watching this guy play. That game versus Louisville, the comeback against Temple, his down then up performance against Baylor. I loved watching him play and do whatever needed to be done in order to win.

I like having that feeling about a guy, and I'm not so sure why I was so down on this pick. Maybe it's because I perceived that more value was available, or that I just didn't want to go through the Gabbert thing again but I really wasn't on board with it. But the more I think back to just how much fun it was to watch the guy play the more I like the pick.

Let's hope for a great Day Two!

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

I feel better about Bortles than I did about Gabbert. Gabbert's shining moment in college was beating #1 Oklahoma. ESPN re-aired the game the week of the draft. I remember watching it and thinking, um, this guy is going to be a first rounder? And then we traded up to get him. I won't lie and say I was the biggest Bortles fan but I think he has a much higher floor.

I was telling everybody about a month ago that Bortles was the QB I thought Caldwell would like the best.  Let all the Manziel hype get to me though and backed off on Bortles.  So much for Caldwell not being a "smokescreen" guy!

Good Guy ESPN.  Giving (presumably) High School Drop outs jobs.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Quote:I watched the first video listed for him on Youtube which was his passes against South Carolina and I'm not really seeing it. He has a poor throwing motion and doesn't seem to get good pass velocity. He also looked to be throwing the same sort of short garbage that Henne has been living on during his time here. Do we really need another check down specialist?

LOL.  Totally forgot about this idiot.

Whatever happened to Tommy? I kind of want to talk about over priced hideous shoes and terrible rap music.

I have to give Tommy a little credit. The one thing I remember him being right on was Lane Johnson over the Joke. He nailed that one

Also the link in the original post doesn't seem to work. Anyone else have a working link to a video that shows what the big deal with this guy is?
