Caldwell has wanted Bortles for a long time

Quote:Heard something like he has been to 5 or 6 games. I agree I see differences. I think the biggest comparsions to Blaine are again, the measurables, and the reference to chalk talk/ alleged coachability. We were force fed that rhetoric when Blaine came to town as defense of that pick, so when we hear those things now, its only natural to have some sort of red flag go up. Quote:I agree I see differences. Sure, it's a similarity, but that is a good similarity. A bad similarity would have been if people say "Has the size, but folds under pressure" .... like Gabbert. See the difference?

Quote:Sure, it's a similarity, but that is a good similarity. Yes.
Quote:I don't like reading the above. You draft QB based on arm talent (accuracy/ consistent ball placement) and how they command the position. The two QBs game is soooooooooooooooo different. Apple and Oranges. Gabbert was always skiddish in a messy pocket, never showed toughness, or that athleticism everyone kept talking about. Bortles is the complete opposite. He will hang in the pocket, take hits, has demonstrated pocket presence and the ability to make truly athletic plays. The only similarities between these two QBs are they are big, tall, white guys that can throw. That's about it. Quote:http://mmqb.si.com/2014/05/09/nfl-draft-...e-jaguars/ I liked this line from that article: <p style="margin-left:40px;">"...The dirty secret of the NFL draft is that it doesn’t really matter how talented a player like Bortles is when he enters the league. What’s most important is how he develops once he’s on a team ..."
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Quote:He did a bet with you too? Hahahaha. Poor TMD. This one was during the Texans-are-brilliant-for-tanking-for-Teddy campaign. Quote:Check your PM box....I wished you a happy birthday months ago....lol Whoooooops. Thanks! I've not been logging in much.
On Wisconsin.
this guy does have a certain clutch factor for sure. my concern is that at worst luck is the poor man's eli manning, and it seems at best bortles is a poor man's luck.
