What WR do you think the Jags will draft ?

Found this on NFL.com's Jordan Matthews profile. Classic Nawrocki.

I would have to go with Lee, but seriously doubt he'll be there at 39. Matthews is my guess on who they will take if they liked what they saw Senior Bowl week. Since there is so much quality depth at this position, it is possible that they wait til the 3rd and take an offensive lineman (Su'a-filo, Martin, Bitonio) or defensive player like Van Noy. Depending on

who is available, my ideal scenerio is:

Rd. 2 - Bitonio (he can play any position on the line and seems like a Gus-type player) or Lee (if available)

Rd. 3- Best receiver available- at least one quality player will drop if the Jags take an O. Lineman. (Landry, Moncrief, Robinson are possibilities).

Rd. 3  Trade up for best center available- hopefully Martin or Richberg.

WHAT, I have never notice diva with him maybe he was moody cuz his QBs sucked, this guy played with the worst QB's out of all the top WRs left and put up numbers on par with them

Quote:Something I wonder about Jordan Matthews. What is there not to like?

He's has good size. 6'3 212.

He's super-productive. Leading receiver in SEC history.

He's got huge hands. Biggest among WR at the combine.

I don't think he's a burner but he ran a 4.4.

I think a big plus for him to is that he is "clean" as Gus says.  No off the field issues or questions...good smart kid.

Quote:Whats your eval on Lee?

Ive only watched 4 games total of him but I think he has more upside than Robinson/Adams. With Latimer its a toss up to me.
First of all, I should say that being below Latimer, Robinson, and Adams isn't necessarily saying he sucks because I really, really like those three.

That said, I just don't think Lee stands out anywhere, except short area quickness. His hands are the worst in the class (both from simply watching and his drop %), at least of the big name guys. He just looks so awkward (linked below) trying to grab it. If he is going to be a short, lateral, YAC receiver like he has to be he's gotta be adept at plucking the ball consistently and not letting it get into his body every time.

He also doesn't have very good deep speed, is small, and has a pretty lengthy injury history that I doubt is going to get any better considering his lack of size.

Please, please, please let us pick up Lee! I'm sure the Redskins would love to get another pick

For that pick he measured the length of his dreads. Added it to his height

Ew that catching is horrible. I might have only watched his good games I guess. I saw the high drop % but for me its not THAT much of an issue. Just because if you look at some of the guys in the NFL with the highest drop % there are some dang good players there. Obviously id prefer it not to be an issue. I value YAC a lot so thats probably why Im higher on him that others.

Head-scratcher? Jordan Matthews...cousin of the Great Jerry Rice? or Donte Moncrief out of Ole Miss?

Watching Lee's highlights you have to be really concerned about him always catching the ball with his body and face mask.  Makes plays, but needs to learn to use his hands.

my gut tells me that jordan matthews will wind up having the better career than lee. but my gut also told me manziel was gonna be the pick at 3 haha.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Yes, he and Gus had that conversation. He told Gus he'd love to get Lee. Think they're friends.
