***The Official 2014 NFL Draft Thread Day 2***

The 2012 Lee is the best WR in this draft. Hopefully we've done our homework and he can regain that form. Obviously part of the risk/reward for the draft.

Quote:Exactly. Not the greatest draft at this point. To your trade down and pick Bortles point. There's 0 way to know that. I would imagine Lee has been medically cleared since he participated in the combine and held a pro day. With knee injuries it's tricky to see if a guy can get back to pre injury form. The draft is always risky. It's not like they're taking unnecessary risks, Lee without the injury riddled 2013 would have been a 1st round pick.

Doesn't mean much but Lee got the first A grade of the second round on Walter Football http://walterfootball.com/nfldraftgrades2.php

Quote:Waste of a pick.Yup. Lee is terrific in college, but in the pros he will struggle to get off the line of scrimmage. NFL teams will erase him.

I have concerns on the draft as the rest of you, but I know I'm not a good a scout as Caldwell and co. This isn't like Gene's Smith era. He didn't reach for a 2nd round DT. He selected who he thought was a franchise QB.... and you don't pass that up for anything... even an extra 1st round pick if you think he's gonna be gone. The Skins give up 2 extra 1st round picks to get one. Not saying Bortles will be great, but Caldwell thinks he will be and so far Caldwell has done well in FA and drafts I believe.
Remember, Gus Bradley came from Seattle. The one thing you saw from Seattle is they ALL played with a chip on their shoulder. What did Lee just say? He has a big one on his. Caldwell and Gus are building a culture.
Quote:No, I have no idea at all. Cleveland wanted Manziel. How it's obvious to you otherwise is beyond me.You wanted to give up a third round pick for DeSean Jackson a few days before he was released. Quote:You're a bust on this forum. Not at all. We just re-drafted a wide receiver to make up for two stupid picks last year. Let that sink in.

When Kay says they sell chocolate diamonds what they really mean they have a bunch of poop colored diamonds they couldn't sell normally but they're going to invent a marketing campaign around anyways in order to pretend these are actually worth the massive markup they place on them.

Thought he was gonna say Marcus Martin for a sec. But he might still be there in the 3rd. If he is, and Blackmon comes back in 2015, Bortles is gonna have a nice supporting cast.
Quote:Not at all.We drafted a wide receiver to make up for one very stupid Gene pick two years ago. Ace and Denard (who, um, isn't a wideout) didn't play into it. Keep purring, Catwoman. Maybe eventually you'll catch your bat.
