Maybe because he was a cane but Connor Shaw is much better and a better fit. DJ Mendenhall is best of available QB would love to see him and Matt Scott compete for backup job since Henne probably gone

The only one that I am really rooting for is Jensen. I really liked him pre-draft as TE depth.

They have history of doing similar things to QB, i hope it changes with gene gone but leftwich and gerrard were both booted out when they lost starting spot, spending 3rd pick on Blake indicates they want to get him going quick. I think Henne is a very good QB but i would be surprised if he isnt traded or cut so team saves all his non guarenteed money

This FO is nothing like the previous. Notice how they drafted?

Im on road coaching basketball tournament, if Caldwell sticks to what that then im ecstatic. But similar statement were made under old regime about gabbert and gerrarrd so im weary but ill give Caldwell benefit of doubt and enjoy idea of having smart people making the decisions now

I know and after years of being upset at draft this makes me happy but every gm gets weird about their QB. I truly hope im wrong and Henne stays and leads the team and helps Blake learn, just nervous that after final preseason game Henne will be gone

Nope... Gayle is getting a shot with the Titans.

Interesting, he was playing with a torn labrum from a dislocation most of the season.  Missed the final few practices at the senior bowl, which I'm sure wasn't good to see happen.

That explains quite a lot.

We have to remember that this is a situation where the player picks where he wants to go. Even if we don't get some popular names, it doesn't mean a call wasn't made, just means the player thought he had a better chance of success elsewhere

Also a big hurns guy too. Reminds me a lot of Jerricho Cotchery. Reliable routes, good hands and not overly physical but good for his size. Overachiever- and thats what we need.

But usually, the player will be smart and pick a team where he has the best chance of winning a roster spot.

Christian Jones stupidly chose the Bears over us. Aren't the Bears already stacked at LB? I'm so [BAD WORD REMOVED] that he backed out of his commitment with us. I'd be rooting against him forever.

Yeah that was dumb.....but then again, he may learn the hard way and still end up here after first cuts
