When I think of the FSU D I always saw Jones as the big play guy...the guy laying the big hit to drop a guy early...the fumble recovery ect...I could be wrong...

Jones made a few plays, no doubt, but he was mostly the guy who you wished would play up to his potential since he was a highly recruited guy.

Honestly the plays that came to him he made never saw him miss a tackle. If he got a hold of you then you were going down. He was never a hard hitter or an interception machince which im alright with cause i HATE miss tackles with a passion. Thats why i liked him.

Exactly how many 3 yard plays turn into 20 because not being able to wrap up. FSUs D except for Joyner had that on lock down. Joyner just wanted to separate ball from player which is why i dont want to play the Rams ever cause i dont have enough fingers to count how many WRs he took out of a game.

I just said in another thread...that I think Jones was actually the better of the two LBs between him and Smith.

During the draft when we took Smith on SiriusXM, Pat Kirwan, a former NFL personnel guy, said he liked Jones better out of the two.
