tinhorns rumored to be targeting Lee at #33

Quote:Despite the QB position being in flux.. Andre Johnson had one of the best years in his career... and DeAndre Hopkins played really well for a rookie (so what are you even talking about?)... But yes, keep trying to convince yourself that we will suck. your team was 31st overall in points scored. thats 31 out of 32...........

Lets face it. Clowney is a bad fit for your defense. Your organization overplayed their hand in trading down and were basically forced to make the pick.
Quote:drivel? I told you my point is that clowney is not a once in a lifetime physical specimen that everyone labeled him. First of all.. you aren't right.. you have no clue of what you're talking about Second, what did I avoid? Third, it's already well known what position Clowney will play.. It was reported days ago on national television (you have TV right?), I've already made a post on this board about it, so it isn't my responsibility to inform you about it.. put forth a little effort and figure it out. fifth.. that defense won't be gassed.. They'll be able to run the ball this year, reason why they took the best guard in the draft, drafted the top blocking TE, and took the best FB in the draft. They're going to play hard nosed football. Quote:First of all.. you aren't right.. you have no clue of what you're talking about so you are relying on 4 rookies to turn your team around? hahahhahaha also i dont know why you decided to "like" that post of mine if i wasnt right? doesnt make too much sense. just like you dont make much sense with those red and blue glasses youre seeing the world through.

Quote:Lets face it. Clowney is a bad fit for your defense. Your organization overplayed their hand in trading down and were basically forced to make the pick. Was Mario Williams a bad fit for our 3-4? Was DaMarcus Ware a bad fit for their 3-4? Jadeveon Clowney isn't a bad fit. And we didn't overplay our hand, the Falcons simply didn't offer up enough value over taking Clowney to move us out of that slot. We had the #1 pick in the draft and had our choice to pick anybody.. we weren't forced to do anything. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:First of all.. you aren't right.. you have no clue of what you're talking about You better hope so, because you sure won't be throwing the ball a lot. Honest question, and not trying to be funny, but in general, how have Houston fans handled being a probable Super Bowl contender and at worse an AFC Championship participant to having the first pick in the draft? Quote:Was Mario Williams a bad fit for our 3-4? "It's a position that requires the player to be able to put his hand on the ground and rush, and also to be able to drop back, which means understanding complicated coverages and deciphering offenses, depending on what kind of front the team is running." can't wait to see clowney try to drop back into coverage. he isnt a smart athlete and he doesnt play coverage to this point. doesnt have the fluid hips to change direction in coverage either. like i said, high percentage chance that clowney is going to be the biggest draft bust in nfl history.

Quote:so you are relying on 4 rookies to turn your team around? hahahhahaha I thought I was hitting the respond button.. And what happened to your original post where you said we were going to rely on 6 rookies? But lets talk about 4 rookies.. Jadeveon Clowney.. first pick so that's a no brainer Xavier Su-A-Filo.. the top guard drafted.. so yes, we're going to rely on him C.J. Fiedorowicz.. Best all around TE in the draft and with the departure of Owen Daniels + O'Briens two TE system, yes we're going to rely on him Louis Nix.. Best NT and one of the best steals in the draft.. With our switch to a traditional 3-4 we needed a traditional NT.. the traded up for him for a reason, we're going to rely on him. This guy has the potential to be the best NT in the NFL.
Quote:You better hope so, because you sure won't be throwing the ball a lot. They were able to throw the ball last season, even without Schaub. The problem was they couldn't block anybody. Honest Answer, Houston fans never thought they were going to win a SB with Kubiak so they were ecstatic with taking a nose dive and ridding themselves of the diseases that have infected this team... getting the first pick in the draft was just a bonus. Bill O'Brien is a no nonsense hard [BLEEP].. (anti Kubiak) and that's exactly what this team needs. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:You better hope so, because you sure won't be throwing the ball a lot. owen daniels was a fine blocking TE. the problem was the running backs on the texans cant stay healthy, and foster is greatly overrated. in 8 games last year he scored 1 whopping touchdown rushing. so again to recap for trindon: foster is not reliable and not as good as you texans fans pretend. you actually lost one of your best receiving threats in daniels. your actual good players are only getting older. andre johnson is going to be 33 by the time the season starts, that downward spiral hits quick. you have no QB. your defense isnt good. you are relying on clowney who doesnt have a fit in your defense and louis nix to make it good. both of whom are rookies. rookies seldom make that big of an impact. your defense is going to be tired because theyre going to be on the field a lot. we could argue back and forth all day, but at the end of the day, ill put my money where my mouth is and guarantee the jaguars have a better record than your texans come the end of the season.

My god, you just showed how ignorant you truly are.. LOL Go ask Cowboy fans how often Ware dropped back in coverage. Go ask other Texan fans (because I no you won't trust me) was asked to drop back in coverage Jadeveon Clowney is going to do one thing.. rush the passer behind J.J. Watt. Quote:My god, you just showed how ignorant you truly are.. LOL well that quote came from willie mcginest who played that same exact position for romeo crennell so.... i think ill take his word for it instead of random fans.

Quote:well that quote came from willie mcginest who played that same exact position for romeo crennell so.... i think ill take his word for it instead of random fans. Really.. then post that quote. Post the quote that says exactly what you just typed.. and prove that you aren't full of crap. Quote:I'm sorry.. stopped reading after "owen daniels was a fine blocking TE". well at least now you have a TE who can block. won't be much of a receiving threat but thats ok because your offense is loaded with weapons like 33 year old andre johnson and deandre hopkins who had 2 TDs in 16 games and...................oh yeah mike thomas who got cut from 4 different teams in like a year. regardless, you are very confident in your team. lets make some sort of wager like i said, the jaguars will have a better record than your powerhouse team. what say you?

Quote:Really.. then post that quote. Post the quote that says exactly what you just typed.. and prove that you aren't full of crap.http://espn.go.com/blog/houston-texans/p...e-elephant i do have to admit that i thought that section was in quotes while reading the article as taken from mcginest, but it looks like that is not one of his exact quotes. the article makes it difficult to understand exactly who is describing the position but regardless if you read the entire article, it pretty much confirms it either way. these are professionals, not casual fans.

Quote:Despite the QB position being in flux.. Andre Johnson had one of the best years in his career... and DeAndre Hopkins played really well for a rookie.. and why the heck are you trying to knock the Texans defense over age? They have one of the youngest units in the league? (so what are you even talking about?)... But yes, keep trying to convince yourself that we will suck. Dude, Andre Johnson is like 34 this year.....the end is near for him. If you expect him to play like last year until he's 40 you're delusional. He'll likely show some clear decline this season. Quote:http://espn.go.com/blog/houston-texans/p...e-elephant LOL, so you posted a link that mentions how McGinest talks about how Clowney will put his had in the dirt..and will be asked to pass the rusher.. and also brought up the two players I mentioned (DeMarcus Ware and Mario Williams) so he didn't say exactly what you posted so you are full of it. I mean, lets not even mention how Tedy Brushci (who also played in that defense) just named Jedaveon Clowney as his "best pick)on ESPN's draft recap special. LOL.
Quote:Dude, Andre Johnson is like 34 this year.....the end is near for him. If you expect him to play like last year until he's 40 you're delusional. When did I say I expect win to play like that until he's 40? I expect him to have another 1,000+ yard season next year and expect a rookie that put up 800+ yards (which is great for a rookie) to grow.
Quote:I thought I was hitting the respond button... I think the Texans will be much better but not quite back to their 2012 form.. what do you think of Fitzpatrick and Savage? I do think your defense might very well be top 5 again. |
