That's pretty subjective, I say they do.  

 

Reggie is slightly bigger (and he should be) he's had many years in an NFL weight lifting program and years to grow.

 

If you compare early in their careers, they look the exact same to me.  Even now there's only a slight difference.  

 

When you look at the numbers one is 6'0 and around 200 pounds and the other is 6'0 and around 195.

To make those sort of downfield/ sideline plays consistently in the pro's I think you need to be a bit bigger and/ or stronger than what Lee is. Steve Smith can despite lacking height, because he's got good leaping ability and he's one of the strongest WR's in the sport. I'm not sure Lee will be able to do the same in the pro's. I see Lee as more of a Harvin type weapon as far as the routes he can be successful as a pro.

If we are talking about strength, Harvin may be the strongest pound - for - pound player in the league.

I actually think Cruz is Lee's obvious comp. Use him out of the slot, but use him out of the slot to stretch the field. Very unique how the Giants use Cruz like that, and I think that's exactly how I would use Lee too. 

 

I don't think Lee has the size, long speed, or high point vice hands (or even average hands) to win on the sidelines regularly. But he also doesn't have the durability, toughness, or hands to make contested catches over the middle regularly without dying. As a traditional X or slot I think he is in for a hard time. 

 

Dave said he will work as a Z and he could do that decently, but I think Cecil is better for  the Z spot. Lee could be special as a Victor Cruz type slot WR, using his quickness to take advantage of nickel corners and safeties to stretch the field.

Similarly, I also think that Hakeem Nicks is a good comp for Robinson. Neither are burners but both are sneaky fast, with good explosion, great body control, and sticky hands to make the tough sideline catches. Both are underrated after the catch too, possessing a little wiggle and elusiveness. 

 

If anything Robinson could be a little better, as he is a bit bigger with even better broad and vertical suggesting a bit more burst and explosion.

I'm happy with who we have now.  IF Blackmon comes back, that's fine, but I would be shocked if he ever plays another down in the NFL.

I think Reggie Wayne and Keenan Allen are good comparisons for these guys. Robinson is bigger than Allen though.

Just finished watching their cut ups on draft breakdown.

 

Im basing my comments on Lee off 2012, where he was healthy and had good players around him. He reminds me a lot of Percy Harvin. He is so good at making people miss in confined spaces. Can start and stop on a dime. Run after the catch and the kick returning abilities only make the comparison closer as well. 

 

Robinson was a bit harder to think of a comparison for but I came up with Stevie Johnson. His route running ability and his get off from the line is superb. Robinson is more of a red zone threat though. 

 

These guys compliment each other perfectly. Cant wait to see them develop together.

You are right. I don't think I've seen better brakes. He can stop on a dime and, in a moment, accelerate like nobody's business.

I'm being very specific when I make that comparison. Don't get the wrong idea.

 

Watch young Marshall after the catch and watch Lee after the catch. They both leave the ball hanging out away from their chest and their first move is always the back juke.

 

Very similar styles tend to evolve similar as well. I don't believe Marshall tries to churn out yards like he used to but he had a serious fumbling problem in Denver and I'm hoping Lee doesn't also develop one.

I'll take the fumbles if he's anywhere close to Marshall's ability when it comes to YAC. Marshall with Denver was by far the best YAC receiver in the entire league. 

 

I'd cool my jets on that comparison. Part of the reason Marshall is so good on YAC yards is because he breaks tackles due to his size/ strength. Isn't Marshall like 6 2" or 6' 3" and upwards of 215-220?
