Vikings Looking To Part Ways With Adrian Peterson ?

#21

I live in Mn and there has been zero talk on local radio shows about moving AP. That said, tired of hearing the rb position is devalued, no longer a running league blah blah blah, tell that to the 2 best teams in football last year Seattle and SF.

Quote:I'd give up a second for him, he's good.

haha could you imagine Gerhart's reaction if this were to happen?

I think gerhart is in a better situation here. Only way I could see him being irate is if AP winds up in Jacksonville hahahha (0% chance though)

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

If this was 5 years ago, hell, even 3 years ago id consider it.. Not now though. This club is sitting pretty with the RB's they have. No need to give up valuable future draft picks either.

Do trading teams sometimes pay part of salary like in baseball?  It's common in baseball but never recall hearing about it in NFL

Quote:Why? The Jags still won't be a playoff team with Peterson back there. There's no point in trying to obtain him.

This team will be better off with its RB committee.
I don't think Toby would be to happy if we traded for him haha. But saying he wouldn't make us a playoff team is ignorant, he made the Vikings a playoff team in 2012 with Christian Ponder at QB in a much stronger division/confrence.

They should keep him. One of the best ways to bring along their 1st round investment in TB slowly is to have a great back to relieve that pressure. They should just keep him. Its not like they are in salary cap abyss by keeping him on the team.
